Knives : Chapter Sixteen

Jane's POV

I was crying on my bed and never left my room since Beth was taken not even for school. My mother had to bring me food because I stayed in there since there is a bathroom inside my room.

*cling cling*

I looked at the window. Someone was throwing rocks at it. I opened the window and the person who kidnapped Beth came over.

"Don't scream. I want to help." He whispered.

"I'm listening." I said.

"Do you want to be with Beth because she really misses you." He said.

"Yes of course." I said now happy.

"Then come with me." He said.

"No. Then you'll take me." I said.

"Well then you will never see Beth again." He said.

"Fine." I said.

"Okay. Put this note on your bed and climb out your window." He said.

"Okay." I said as I put the note on my bad and grabbed a backpack I already packed since I was going to go find Beth.

I climbed out the window and got in his car.

"Beth will be so happy to see you." He said.

I slumped in my seat and thought if I made the right decision.

I guess I fell asleep because he woke me up.

"Hey we're here." He said.

I got up and opened the door. He wasn't even worried if I ran away.

"Okay you go in that room and I will come get you." He said as I went to the room.

After some inaudible talking he came into the room guiding me to... Beth.

I saw Beth and we reunited.

Beth's POV

I woke up with Jane beside me. I feel complete again.

"Girls." He yelled for us.

"Coming!" I said.

I got up and grabbed Jane's hand. We walked down the stairs to find Matt with a knife.

"No. Matt no." I said.

"Come here and kiss me." Matt said.

"No." I said with disgust.

He pointed the knife to Jane and said "Don't make me do this." He said.

I was so mad that he dared to say that.

"You wouldn't dare!" I said as he walked closer to Jane.

"Oh you know I would." He said.

He put the knife against her stomach. I remembered the dream having flashbacks.

Last thing I remembered was pulling Jane under me in a protective barrier and then all went black.

Matt's POV

"Oh my gosh. No. I didn't want this." I said as I saw Beth passed out protecting her poor innocent sister.

I cried as I pulled Beth off of Jane.

"No! Get off me!" Jane said as I pulled her off.

"I'm sorry I was making a joke at first." I said pissed at myself.

Jane got on her knees and held Beth in her arms shaking her.

"I did this." I said disappointed at my actions.

I have to fix this somehow.

"Jane, I'm going to bring her up to her bed and you can stay with her till she wakes up." I told her.

"Okay." She said keeping space between us.

I brought her up to the bed and kissed her forehead as I saw Jane look at me with a death stare.

"Hey. I'm on watch!" She said giving me a death stare STILL.

"Sorry miss." I said as I went down the stairs disappointed at myself for hurting the one I love and her adorable sister.

Beth's POV

I woke up with Jane beside my bed. Getting up, I hugged Jane so hard.

"I love you." I said to Jane.

"I love you too." Jane said as I saw Matt in the door frame watching us.

I got up out of the bed and put Jane behind me.

"I'm not going to hurt her." He said as he put his hands up.

"Okay." I said still not believing him so I kept her behind me.

"You want lunch?" Matt asked as I watched him so he wouldn't do anything.

"Sure." I said suspiciously.

"Okay, then come down the stairs." He said watching us.

I watched him as he left and grabbed Jane's hand keep her behind me, knowing he wouldn't hurt me.

"Are you coming?" He yelled so we could hear.

"Yeah." I sad walking with Jane still behind me.

We made it down the stairs and I made sure he didn't have any knives.

"I'm clean." He says showing me his hands as he hands me lunch.

I grab it and give half to Jane and half to me. I didn't think he would give Jane food much.

"Wanna watch some TV?" Matt asked.

"Yeah, sure. I love watching TV with my kidnapper/stalker." I said sarcastically.

"Okay. Sooooo?" Matt said as he waited for an answer.

"Maybe later but I want to go outside." I said.

"Okay. Don't try anything." He said as he turned the TV on.

I walked out the door with Jane in front. (I always keep myself in between them now.)

"Come on." I said to Jane as I walked out.

Right as I was going to close the door, Jack plopped outside and licked Jane's ankle.

"That's Jack." I said as Jane smiled at him.

"Cute." She said.

We went out to my camping corner and decided to stay there for the night. Sitting outside was the only thing to really do so I got out the old mp3 and gave Jane a headphone while we watched clouds and listened to music.

After being out there for a while, Matt came out of the house and asked when we were coming inside.

"We are staying out here tonight." I said.

"Is it because of this morning?" Matt asked.

"Um yeah, partially." I said wondering why he doesn't get it.

"I'm sorry. It was a joke at first." He said as I put Jane in the corner of the fence and I went in front of her.

"Yeah, right." I said.

"How about I make it up to both of you?" He said.

"How?" I said still protecting Jane.

"We will ride horses sometime soon."He said as I saw Jane's face light up.

Jane and I always do that together. He knew it's my favorite activity to do.

"Okay fine. But I'm still staying out here for the night." I said.

"Okkkkaaaaayyyyy."He said like I was crazy.

"Night princess." He said.

"Night kidnapper." I said laughing.

I moved so Jane and I could both sleep in the sleeping bag. We then fell asleep as we observed the stars.
