Finally Happy: Chapter Fifty-Three

Beth's POV

It has been a couple weeks in the hospital and I got my bandages off. The only scar I have is on my arm from the ripped tissue and from the cut. It is pretty big but also really badass. I also get to go home today!

"Are you ready baby?" Jake asked as he gave me a hand to help me out of my bed.

"Yes!" I said excited to leave.

"Wait here a sec." Jake said as he went out of the room.

Jake came back in with... Jessie.

"Jessie?" I said confused but happy she is here.

"Beth, Jake arranged for me to come to see you!" Jessie said as she ran over and hugged me.

I hugged her back and smiled as I saw her brown eyes like mine and short black hair. The only difference was my hair was really long but it was still black. We looked really similar.

"That's great!" I said to Jessie.

"Thanks, Jake!" I said to him.

"Hey, I thought it would make you happy. We are all going to go to dinner tonight. Me, you, Jane, Raven, Anna, and Jessie." Jake said which made me smile.

"That's awesome!" I said excited.

"Hey, it's for you Beth." Jake said.

I started to get a little dizzy and had to forget that Matt said "For Beth." when he killed.

"I'm sorry, are you okay?" Jake asked as he ran over and held me so I wouldn't fall.

"Yeah, just some... memories." I said holding my head.

Jake held me close and I wrapped my arms around him and felt safe.

"Okay, let's get out of here." I said through a couple tears.

Jake smiled as Jessie followed us out of the hospital.

"So, how is Maine?" I asked Jessie. (She lives in Maine.)

"It's great and really pretty." Jessie said.

"Well maybe I will have to go there some day." I said to Jessie.

"That sounds great!" Jessie said as I could tell she was happy to be here.

"I'm glad you came." I said smiling at her.

"Me too." Jessie said giving me a sweet grin.

We arrived at Jake's truck and we all hopped in. Getting in the passenger's seat, I felt like the luckiest person alive. I had Jake, who is the best boyfriend a girl could ask for. Anna and Jessie, my best friends who are the best friends you could imagine. Jane and my mother, best family ever.

"Do you wanna go eat some lunch?" Jake asked me.

"Oh um, yeah sure." I said as I stopped thinking about my now amazing life.

"Okay." Jake said a little confused on my answer.

I smiled at him and looked down at my arm. A scar on my wrist and a huge scar from the accident was there and will be forever. I have to admit it looks really cool. The huge scar cascades down my shoulder to my wrist where it meets my cut. I looked up as the truck stopped and saw we were at... Jack's Pizza. Smiling over at Jake, I saw him look at me with an expression saying "I love you." I gave him the same expression and we got out of the truck.

"Have you ever had Jack's Pizza?" I ask Jessie.

"No." Jessie says intrigued.

"Well it tastes amazing." I said smiling at her.

I grabbed Jake's hand as we walked into the pizza place.

"Welcome to Jack's Pizza... woah. It's Beth Jones!" The lady said at the counter.

Some co-workers piled behind her and looked at me amazed.

"And here we see Beth Jones in her natural habitat." I said laughing at the workers.

I saw grins crack on the workers' faces.

"Sorry, I just love your story." A worker said.

"It's a real life event, not some fairytale." I said disappointed that they said that.

"Sorry." The worker said going back to his station with his head held down as he looked at the floor while walking.

We ordered our pizza and I was excited to see Jessie's reaction to the amazing pizza.

"So far, this smells amazing." Jessie said inhaling the savory pizza scent.

"Taste it!" I demanded hoping she would love it.

She took a bite and the cheese slowly ripped apart as she bit down.

"Oh. My. Gosh." Jessie says after swallowing the pizza.

"Amazing, right?" I asked hoping I was right.

"Yes!" Jessie said before she took another bite but bigger this time.

I smiled at her reaction and grabbed a slice for myself. Biting down, I saw Jake smiling at me from the corner of my eye.

"May I help you?" I asked Jake just joking around.

Jake rolled his eyes at me and scooted me closer to him in the booth.

"Quit making me feel like a third wheel!" Jessie said smiling at our relationship actions.

"Sorry." I said smiling at her.

Jessie laughed a little and went back to eating.

"That was amazing." Jessie said as we went to throw the box away after finishing.

"Told you." I said smiling at Jessie as I grabbed Jake's hand.

Jessie rolled her eyes at me and smiled as we walked out of the doors.

"We should go there for dinner!" Jessie said jokingly.

"Totally!" I said sarcastically.

We all got in the truck and headed to Jake's house where Jane and my mother are. Once he drove out and onto the road, I looked through the window at the houses. There was a family, two kids and mother and father, who were playing some kind of game. It made me smile at their happiness.

"We're here!" Jake said as he stopped the truck.

Realizing my mother and Jane haven't met Jessie, I dragged her inside and started to introduce them.

"Mom, this is Jessie, my friend. Jessie, this is my mom, or Raven." I said introducing them.

They smiled and greeted each other.

"Jane, this is Jessie, my friend. Jessie, this is my little sister, Jane."I said as I saw Jane with a smile on her face.

Jane and my mother met Jessie and they gladly started to like her. My life is officially now back to normal.
