*Addie's POV*

Thursday, October 31, 2013

I decided to apply for a job last week at the local bookstore and somehow landed an interview. I can't really handle a lot right now. This job won't be very demanding and I won't have to deal with a lot of customers. I've always loved to read and write. I'm not always the best at it, but it's something I enjoy.

Here in London on Thursday, October 31, 2013, of course it's cold and damp outside. And it's Halloween. None of us, Jen, Bradley, Mason, and I, really celebrate Halloween. Before I go to my interview at the bookstore, I try to make myself look a little presentable.

The past few weeks have been a living hell. I've had stay-in-bed days for 80% of the last few weeks and getting up just to shower feels like running a marathon. Someone needs to tell me how the hell I even had the motivation to get out of bed this morning.

I hop into the shower and turn the water up really high. I first get in and it's painfully hot. I scream a little and jump away from it. I turn it down a little and step into the stream. It's still very hot, but I can at least tolerate this. After my body gets used to it, it slowly turn it up, little by little. I wash my hair, body, and face. Once I'm clean and somewhat refreshed, I step out and dry off. Looking in the mirror, I notice that my body is red. I scratch my stomach and it burns, but it makes a cool lighter line on my skin so I vigorously scratch the rest of my stomach and it's now red with white lines and I like it. I also notice that I look somewhat skinnier. My stomach seems to sink in more than it normally does. I can fit three fingers between my thigh gap now, meaning it's about three inches. I quickly grab one of my two scales and hop on. 98.7 lbs. Well, that's not as bad as I thought it would be. I thought I would've been at least 101. I continue to get ready and dry my hair straight. I run it through the straightener just to make sure it's perfectly straight.

After getting dressed and putting make up on, I have some yogurt for breakfast.

I had 20 pizza rolls in the past 3 days which I wasn't able to purge. Nevertheless, I'm hungry now.

I help myself to a Greek yogurt that consists of 140 calories. After slowly eating that, I chug a bottle of water. I go to brush my teeth and pray that I don't throw it up because I need energy for this interview. Thankfully, I keep it down. I exit my bathroom to see Mason up cooking breakfast. He's in gray sweats and his navy blue and green plaid boxers are peeking out. He has on his glasses that I've always secretly found attractive. He's obviously not fixed his hair yet because it's pretty messy. I'm actually not ashamed to say this, but he looks really hot right now and it's turning me on. He notices me standing there and looks at me, sending me a small smile.

"Good morning, Addie," he says happily, "Did you get breakfast?" He says and motions to his pan of eggs, offering to make me some.

"Yeah, I had yogurt. Thanks though," I reply.

"Only yogurt? Don't you have a job interview? How do you get enough energy from a cup of yogurt?"

"I have enough energy. I slept well last night."

"You only sleep anymore," he mumbles quietly. That's the problem. I lay in bed and do nothing. I don't sleep much anymore. I stay quiet and he continues. "Are you doing all right?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," I answer nonchalantly.

"Addie, I know y-"

"I said I'm fine, damn it," I argue.
