Chicago Fire Oneshots

Jaelyn

It was a quiet and cold day at the 21st most of the unit doing paper work or catching up with intel from the CIs. Which is where Erin and Jay currently where. Talking with one of Jay's CI to be precise.

"Thanks for the info Ivan" he said clasping the guys back as they walked away

"Now what?" asked Erin

"Back to the district" he said sighing

"I hate slow days and I hate snow days too!" She muttered as they jumped into the car

"So damn cold! Can we please crank that heater?" Asked Jay jumping beside her

"So you're still coming over tonight right?" she asked him

"Of course babe" He said leaning in to give her a quick kiss

"You sure you just don't want to tell me now?" He asked her

"No, It's better if you see" she said. Jay had been in the unit for almost a full year for about two months and Jay though he knew everything about her but she just kept throwing surprises up left right and centre.

"Ok, I can wait" he said to her as they drove back. Getting it Erin noticed Hank was missing

"Hey! Where did Voight go?" She asked worried, the snow was starting to come down hard and fast

"I don't know he got a call from someone acted all strange and just walked out" Said Antonio

"Odd" she said dialling he's number but he didn't pick up. She sighed and sat down at her desk

"Lindsey, I'm sure he's fine" said Ruzek

"Yeah it's Voight right?" She asked looking down at her paper work. About an hour later they heard the gate buzz and two sets of steps run up the stairs

"MUMMY!" Yelled one of them as Erin's head snapped up finding her little girl running from Hank to her

"JaeJae?" Asked Erin shocked but jumping up to catch her daughter in a hug

"I have Hot coco for everyone too" Said Hank walking in with two tray's of traveling mugs

"Hank, care to explain?" She asked

"Her school called your phone was out of service so I went and picked her up myself" he said to her

"Did you thank pops?" Asked Erin to her daughter

"Ah huh" She said suddenly noticing all the new faces looking at her. The young girls eyes went wide before she barrier her head into Erin's neck. Erin laughed at her daughters antics before looking up at the guys

"So about 5 years ago, I was in this relationship and it wasn't healthy. One night I found out I was pregnant, the guy threw me down a set of stairs before beating up and leaving me for dead when I told him" she told them

"It was touch and go for the first few weeks and then this one here decided that she'd come into the world 4 months early" Said Erin

"tiniest baby I have ever seen" Said Hank

"5 years later I am stuck with one ratbag of a daughter who is my little miracle. I didn't tell you guys because I didn't want you to think of me any differently" she said to them as they nodded

"So guys once she shows her face. I'd like you all to meet Jaelyn Camille Lindsey" Said Erin giving her baby girl a little bit of a tickle she squirmed but didn't move as the guys laughed but walked off grabbing their chocolatey goodness from Hank before returning to paper work. Jay walked over to Erin and ran he's hand across her back

"So this was what I was going to show you tonight" She said to him looking up at him

"I guess if I take you she comes too right?" he asked her

"Yup" She said

"Good, cause I reckon if I saw her face she'd have me wrapped around her finger in an instant" said Jay. Tickling the girl who this time laughed pushing Jay's hand away before looking at him. He first noticed her deep green eyes. Followed by her fair skin and Hair

"Erin. She's gorgeous!" He told her before looking at the little girl

"Hi, my names Jay. What's yours?" He asked her

"Jaelyn" said the young girl who looked up at her mother

"Remember how I said I was having a friend over to meet you? And he was very special to me?" she asked her daughter who nodded

"This is Mummy's friend" She said as the girl looked at Jay before stretching her arms out for him, Jay took the young girl while Erin grabbed her back pack. Jay walked off with the young girl

"Wait!" She said suddenly as Jay stopped

"My coco" She said quietly as Jay laughed before gasping

"Guess what?" he asked her

"What?" She replied

"I forgot mine too" He said turning around and walking off.

Later that night Erin leaned against her doors door frame watching Jay and Jaelyn. He tucked her into bed before reading to her. Erin just stood their the entire time. He got up and turned around seeing Erin in the door frame. Her baby girl now fast asleep. She walked past him and kissed her daughter on the head

"Sweet dreams my princess" She said before walking out of the room and closing the door and pulling  Jay with her. They walked back into the lounge room Erin turning the TV down so that it wouldn't wake Jaelyn up before Jay pulled her into he's lap both stretching out on the couch.

"So how did you come up with the name Jaelyn?" he asked her as she laughed

"Clearly it was way before we met" she said

"It means light. She was exactly what I needed at that point in my life. She pulled me out of the dark" Said Erin to Jay

"And she's kept you from going back" Said Jay as Erin nodded.

"You're amazing with her Jay" She said turning her head to look at him

"Yeah I'm a little worried that she has me wrapped around her finger though. That might be dangerous, so i apologise now for anything she makes me do!" He said laughing lightly.

"I love you" She said suddenly, he stopped laughing and looked down at her before kissing her passionately. They pulled back when they needed air but stayed close to each other

"I love you too" He said to her

"and her" He added as Erin stood up pulling him with her

"Erin?" He asked her 

"We're going to bed to sleep! and just sleep" She said to him pushing him into her room. He laughed grabbing her and pulling her with him as he feel onto the bed
