Pregnant?!

 Background for this one shot. Erin and Jay are married, Brett and Severide are together and Gabby and Matt are in an extended engagement since work likes to get in the way of their happy day.

Jay and Erin entered the clinic and sat down. Erin nervously was bouncing her leg.

"babe stop bouncing your leg!" said Jay placing he's hand firmly on her knee to get her to stop

"I can't help it!" she said leaning into he's chest, he chuckled kissing the top of her head

"Everything will be fine" he said as he heard voices of another couple walking in. Jay nudged Erin pointing he's towards the new couple that had joined them in the waiting room

"Gabriella Dawson! Does your brother know you're here?" asked Erin as Gabby turned around

"ah no he doesn't, and we'd like to keep it that way" she said waving her hand between herself and Matt

"First appointment?" asked Jay as Matt nodded

"We found out a few days ago, how about you guys?" asked Gabby

"We're headed into the second trimester this week, so we're getting updated photos to show everyone" said Erin

"Have you been hiding it at work?" asked Gabby

"Not really, I mean Hank knows and I still go out with the team and all that but i'm more of a "yeah i'm here" type of thing over a go in guns blazing" she said as Matt and Gabby sat down next to them. Since they where earlier and their doctors where still getting ready. They all looked up when they heard the door open and Sylvie and Severide walked in. Gabby and Matt's eyes went wide not wanting anyone to know until after Gabby hit three months since she lost the baby last time. Matt pulled Gabby to him kissing her temple while whispering in her ear

"It'll be ok babe, they our closest friends" he said to her as she nodded. Severide looked over spotting Casey and looked at him confused but never the less they came and sat down with them. Sylvie looking at them confused as well

"We found out a couple of days ago" said Gabby quickly looking up at them who where now both grinning

"So what are you going to do when you can't be on truck any more?" asked Erin genuinely interested

"Well I've already been signed up to teach classes at the academy, I'll also be working in Arson and when then Sylvie is being forced to cut back so I'll be working the shifts she's not working" said Gabby looking over at Brett

"ah you're my replacement" she said

"technically Chilli's your replacement" said Gabby "Plus ambo will be getting a candidate to help us out, so we won't be doing any lifting or hard work" she added

"the way 51 works confuses me" said Jay

"the same way 21 and burgess works" said Erin.

"Poor thing still can't make it up stairs permanently?" asked Severide

"Will never happen now!" came a new voice as the three couples turned to face the new comer who happened to be Burgess and Ruzek

"what are you doing here?!" exclaimed Erin and Jay

"Same thing you lot are all here for" said Kim

"hold up! Your pregnant?" asked Erin excited as Kim nodded her head

"Oh this is so cool!" she said looking around

"If i didn't know any better I'd speculate that you guys planed this out!" said Erin as the girls laughed

"no just freaky coincidence!" said Severide

"No such thing as a coincidence" said the cops

"freaks" muttered Matt in good nature as the rest laughed

"Erin Halstead?" Called a nurse

"Well thats us" said Erin standing up

"Good luck!" came the response as they walked off

"Who would have guess that this would have happened" said Gabby looking around

"At least our kids will be good friends" said Adam kissing Kim's hand

"Oh yeah and the mischief they'll get up to!? Can hardly wait!" said Severide sarcastically

"Hey! just remember who will be picking your kids up from their illegal parties" said Kim

"Yeah not happening!" came the response from all the parents to be

"We'll get Auntie Erin to talk to them and if that doesn't work we'll send in Voight" Said Adam to he's wife.

"Our kids have no hope in hell!" laughed Matt as Gabby's name was called standing up they said good bye to their friends following the nurse back to their room

"ok so how did this happen?" asked Severide confused looking over at Adam

"well Erin and Jay are at their three month, so they would have found out just before or around.......... I'm killing Jimmy once I get my hands on him!" said Severide grumbling

"Nadia and Jimmy's wedding. huh who would have though" Said Adam sitting back

"How long have you two known?" he asked the couple

"A couple of weeks but works been nuts, so this was the first time we where able to get an appointment" Said Kim "What about you guys?" she asked them

"Took a test a week ago. This was our first shift off where we weren't doing anything so this was the appointment we took" said Sylvie "Jimmy is so dead" she grumbled

"ok so how does everyone else know you're pregnant then?" asked Adam confused remembering what Gabby was saying once she came off truck.

"Took a test while at work, I think I screamed the house down. Needless to say someone was about to call you guys" she replied blushing as Adam looked over as Severide

"Don't look at me! I'm not related to one of you guys!" he said throwing he's hands up as Sylvie's name was called out

"Good luck you two" said Adam as they exited the room

"Nadia and Jimmy's wedding? unbelievable" she said leaning back

"hmmmm now I wonder which time that night or day, this little one was conceived" he said placing a hand on he's wife's still flat stomach

"Can we not reminisce about that, here and now?" he asked him blushing

"alright alright" he replied chuckling

"Kim Ruzek?" a nurse called out

"yep" she called standing up still red pulling Adam with her
