Telling The Guys

So decided here's Part two of the last chapter. Gabby and Casey telling the guys about the baby and then the gender. so ta-daaaaa

Gabby had been off work for three weeks in order to let her cut on the back of her head fully heal. Today would be her first day back, and they both knew they needed to talk to the chief. Taking a deep breath they nocked on Boden's office door before being called in

"What can I do for you two?" he asked them

"Well ah we have a bit of news" Said Gabby smiling

"go ahead" he said sitting back in he's seat

"Sir, We're pregnant" Said Matt, as Boden went from poker face to shocked, sitting up right in he's seat

"Get out of here!" He said not believing it

"yeah" said Gabby handing a photo over. 

"oh my god!" He said standing up and moving around to hug Gabby before they all laughed

"Well there isn't much point you being on truck cause I know there is no way Matt will even let you put on a tank let alone race into a burning building so I'll put in an in-house transfer for you to move back to Ambo, or I have heard that Arson are looking for someone" he said looking at the pair

"Nah Ambo would be great sir" she said smiling

"alright, you're free to go, and again Congratulations" he said as they walked out.

"So everyone else?" asked Gabby looking at Matt

"Let them figure it out" he said smirking

"and what if they don't get it before i start showing" she asked him

"Then lets thank the lord we aren't detectives" he said laughing.

"Alright bit of a roster switch up, Gabby's back! on light work so she'll be working on Ambo" Said Matt walking into the common room. Strange thing was, no one asked why she was truly on Ambo

3 months later

Matt and Gabby where getting ready. So far Brett and Chilli along with Hermann where the only to have even suspected. Hermann corner the two in Casey's office one afternoon and Chilli and Brett being medics figured it out as soon as Casey had told everyone.

"MATT!" Yelled gabby from their bedroom, he had been down stairs in the kitchen making coffee to go for him and a chocolate for her

"Gabby!" He yelled

"Babe? what is it?" he asked racing into the room to find Gabby with her shirt lifted up and looking at herself in the mirror

"Babe! Tell me you see it!" She said excited, Matt saw it of course the slightest bump a swell just below her belly button

"I see it baby" he said walking over to her kneeling down in front of her smiling. He ran he's hands over the swell as Gabby ran hers through he's short hair

"Hello our little jelly bean" he said kissing the bump "It's your dad here, We're probably going to tell all your dimwitted uncles about you today so be prepared for yelling and screaming in just over an hour. Might I suggest covering your ears little one?" He asked as Gabby laughed

"Pappa Hermann and Auntie Brett and Chilli are smarter though they figured you out" he added kissing it again as Gabby sniffed "Finally just to let you know your mother is amazing and we both love you very very much" He said before looking up seeing Gabby crying

"Gabby Baby?" He asked standing up

"That was so damn sweet" she said before kissing him

"Alright, let's go to work, see if they can figure it out if you standing the locker room in just a crop top" he said laughing
