Learning To Work Together

Has anyone else suddenly looked at their views and gone "OMG! WHEN DID IT GET UP THAT HIGH!?" 16.5k!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! This one kinda popped into my head when I was reading a different fanfic and even now it has nothing to do with it but hey and idea is an idea right!

The Cadets stood at one end of the parking lot while the candidates stood at the other end. In the middle of the parking lot, Medical interns and EMT candidates. Each group looking equally confused as to why they where here and together never the less. They had arrived at their training centres only to be told that they had to make their own way to this address. To the Cadets they had heard that each group did something strange with some of the best officers in Chicago but for the candidates this was the first time ever and they felt out of place. As did the interns a couple commenting about how they where now wasting their time they could be learning.  After a few minutes of standing around they heard sirens.

First car to came crashing into the car park where the black cars of the intelligence unit. The Cadets all turning to look to see who it'd be. Hank stepped out from the front SUV followed by the others in he's unit. Marked cop cars soon pulled in after them. He's beat cops stepping out of their cars. A few of the cadets cheered and looked excited now knowing who'd they'd be learning from today. Other's looked terrified.

Fire trucks and Ambos where the next to pull in, the candidates where suddenly excited seeing which house the companies belonged too. There was a total of 9 trucks and ambos from the new and improved fire house 51. Severide, Casey and Boden stepped out first being the houses leaders. Dawson jumped out of the ambo and walked over to the guys now looking at the EMTs and Medical interns. Who all suddenly looked both terrified and inspired. The two groups looked at each other and waited for a third set of sirens. 

Finally 4 more cars pulled in. This time doctors stepped out of theses ones.

"Ok why are we here?" Asked on of the medical interns

"You're all here because once in a while, something happens which requires all of us to work together. Today, Cadets you'll be learning what candidates do, EMTs you'll learn a few skills that could potentially save a life or 5 in the field" Said Bodan

"I'm sure a few of you are wondering why we are here and why there is a train in the side of the building. This will be a training day for all of you." Said Severide

"You'll all need to listen to you're superiors as well as to each other. If an EMT has something under control, Interns you do not have to take over!" Said Doctor Halstead.

"Behind you we have volunteers already in place. You'll be listening to them. We'll have mannequins for you once we get to CPR and intubing since we can't do that on healthy people" Said Gabby.

"You begin in 3-2-1" said Erin as they turned to see the building suddenly on fire

"Is that safe?!" questioned a EMT

"we have officers inside controlling the fire it's perfectly fine" Said Casey. As Sylvie took over and started yelling out instructions for the EMTs, Hermman and Clarke started shouting instructions at the Candidates. Erin looked around at the action before walking over to Gabby's ambo and sitting down on the back of it.

"So nice not to have to be the one running around" Said Gabby joining her along with Sylvie.

"Yeah as long as one of the rookies don't burn themselves we're good" Said Chilli. As they laughed

"I doubt they'll do that" Said Borelli as the girls looked at him

"What?" He asked them

"If I do recall correctly someone tried to set our own house on fire the other day" Said Gabby

"Yeah and didn't you get burnt from that?" Asked Sylvie

"butt out! No one else would cook!" He said to them

"And you ended up making me sick!" Said Gabby laughing

"Come on babe, totally not he's fault!" Said Casey walking up to them as Jay and Antonio joined them

"No I should probably blame you for that" She said to him as he smiled

"Oh you love me" He said to her

"Don't push your luck buddy!" She said to him as everyone else looked at them

"What?" Asked Gabby

"Is there something you're not telling us?" Asked Erin

"Yeah why exactly are you back on ambo?" Asked Sylvie

"Cause Truck is too dangerous" She said as they heard a bang they turned to look.

"Guys! Don't break our equipment!" Yelled Dawson annoyed

"Sorry" She said looking at Casey

"Oh yell all you want. One of them will be on truck soon" He said

"Back to you dawson!" said Erin looking at Antonio

"you know!" She said as he nodded

"She's my baby sister of course I know!" He said to them laughing. Gabby sighed rolling her eyes

"I'm pregnant, and if I had to work arson again, I would have lost my mind!" she said to them as they cheered. They looked up to see one candidate bring a "body" over to the triage that had been set up, moving onto the dummy, quickly intubing before starting CPR

"She's back!" yelled the offical standing with him as she smiled before standing back up handing her over to a paramedic before taking off

"Take not Matt, I like her" She said to him as he nodded.

"I'm impressed" He said to her as the others nodded.

"Son of bitch!" Said Erin grabbing Jay doubling over.

"Babe?" He asked her

"Argh, someone found my ribs" She said breathing before sitting up right

"Damn" She said trying not to cry. Jay knelt down in front of her

"if you're in pain, now would be the best time to say something, You're surrounded by paramedics" he said to her

"nah i'm fine, I promise. Just shock" she said to him giving him a quick kiss as they heard shouting

"Rest! I'll go deal with these two" he said to her

"Here" Said Borelli handing her a water bottle

"Thanks" She said 

It was nearing mid-day and the sun was beating down on them like crazy. The rookies had managed to get through just over half of the casualties

"Erin inside the ambo now!" Said Hank walking over

"you too Gabs, This sun is crazy"

"Guys we're ok!" Said Erin

"You're sweating!" Said Jay as Erin rolled her eyes

"fine" She said as they climbed further into the ambo

"it is cooler in here" she said to Gabby as she laughed

"Alright, Good job today guys" Said Hank

"I hope you all learnt that we have to work together. There's no use trying to do most thing on your own" Said Casey

"We'll be in contact with a few of you, Thank you. You're dismissed" Said Boden

"Arabia McKidd" Said Stella

"She's amazing" Said Gabby

"She'll be doing her placement with us" Said Casey smiling

"Hey, Wife standing right here!" Said Gabby laughing as he looked down at her

"I love you babe, but it's going to be nice having another candidate that's like you and Borelli" He said to her

"Nice save Casey" She said to him giving him a quick kiss as they climbed into their trucks heading back to the firehouse
