Guess Who

When 51 rocked up for their shift they all slowly moved toward the change room to change into their work cloths before grabbing coffee. it was too early to be up and functioning for a Saturday morning but the people of Chicago relied on them. Sitting on the table in the common room was a photo frame. For once most of the 51 crew seemed to walk into the common room at the same time all chatting until Otis spotted the frame walking over he picked it up

"Candidate in the making can you guess who?" He read out loud looking around eyes locking on Kidd the only female in the room

"Hey! Why y'all looking at me!" She said

"Well you and Severide can't keep your hands to yourselves" said Capp

"Capp Imma hit you and the rest of you! If y'all think i'm dumb enough to stay on truck while pregnant y'all are stupider then y'all look!" She said grabbing a coffee cup and pouring her a cup.

"And who's to say it's one of the girls?" She asked them as they looked between each other

"Hermann?" Asked Mouch joking

"I'll have you know that, that vasectomy is hold" He said to them slightly proudly

"eh, too early!" Replied Kidd.

"Capp?" Asked Mouch

"Not me! Could be you!" He replied

"Trudy physically can't have kids" He said sitting down on the couch as Borelli and Brett walked in

"Borelli! Brett! You two have anything to tell us?" Asked Otis

"aaaaaaah" Said Brett looking at Borelli who looked down

"Dang looks like we're busted" He said looking around the room before pulling Sylvie to he's side

"We're ah we're engaged!" He said as they all looked at him

"Wait what?" Asked Kidd turning in her seat

"We're engaged?" He asked looking around

"And that's not what you guys wanted to hear I take it" He said to them as Kidd passed the frame to him

"wow yeah no not us!" Said Brett

"Yeah totally not ready!" He replied placing it down

"Any idea on who it could be?" He asked them

"Not me!" Yelled Kidd as Severide walked in

"What's not you?" He asked kissing her on the cheek

"Apparently we're pregnant" Said to him

"We are?" He asked

"No! But we're trying to figure out who is" She said to him

"Hermann?" He asked

"Nope" Replied Kidd

"and not those two?" He asked her pointing towards Brett and Borelli

"No. They're engaged. Which by the way Congrats guys!" She said realising no one had actually said it and raced over to hug Sylvie before the bells went off. 

Brett met Gabby in the hallway as they raced toward the ambo jumping in.

"What was all the commotion in the common room about?" Asked Gabby as they pulled out

"Oh ah Jimmy proposed to me last night" she said to her

"What?" Said Gabby sitting up a bit more

"Yup. The ring's hanging up in my locker! I'll show you when we get back it's super pretty!" She said gushing

"Awesome but it sounded more like that" Said Dawson

"Oh someone in the house is pregnant and we've been told to guess" She said as Gabby laughed

"You guys do know how many people actually work here right? It could be any one!" Said Gabby

"Oh yeah and who's your guess" She asked

"Connie!" Said Gabby laughing

"Gabby! Seriously!" She said

"Alright alright! aaaah maybe Mcintyre from second watch. I've heard him on the phone with he's wife earlier she didn't sound too good" Said Gabby as Sylvie nodded

"You're probably right" She said pulling out as they jumped out. Gabby sending a wink to Casey.

"This is driving me nuts! How could we have gone this entire shift and not figured this out" Said Cruz the following morning as they where waiting for shift to finish

"We're not detective and if it's bothering you that much go find something to do" Said Casey from the head of the table reading the paper

"but but but aren't you interested in knowing?" He asked

"I had my suspicions but apparently nope. Even if they can't keep their hands to themselves" he said looking over at Kidd and Severide as they laughed poking their tongs out at the others. Matt chuckled rolling he's eyes as Gabby walked in and sat in he's lap.

"You right?" He asked her as she nodded. Leaning her head on he's shoulder 

"too early" She muttered as he chuckled. Sylvie walking in with Jimmy looked at Matt and Gabby

"You know there is one person or persons we haven't asked yet" She said  looking at them before looking at Stella who smiled at her the guys looking completely dumb

"Didn't Stella say yesterday that should wouldn't be dumb enough to work on truck while pregnant?" Asked Sylvie as they nodded

"And then Chief mentioned that when donna was pregnant she had strange sleep patterns" She added as they nodded

"and who's been paying a little bit more attention to their significant other lately?" She asked them

"Casey?" Asked Severide confused

"Right!" said Sylvie

"And who's had odd sleeping patterns?" She asked them

"Dawson?" Asked Capp

"Right again!" Said Stella

"And who changed companies about 2 and a half months ago?" asked Gabby smiling at them

"You?" Asked Tony as they all still looked confused

"I swear they're actually dense!" said Stella

"Wait for it" Said Sylvie as the four of them watched their friends.

"Oh my god!" Yelled Hermman

"YOU'RE PREGNANT! IT'S YOU!" He yelled across the room as she laughed nodding as the room broke out into cheers

"Wait when did you two figure it out?" Asked Jimmy

"After Chief mentioned the weird sleep patterns" Said Stella looking at Gabby as the room went quite

"But I thought you couldn't get pregnant!" Said Severide

"apparently someone in the clinic stuffed up there is nothing wrong with me" she said

"honestly we're kinda surprised it didn't happen early" Said Casey

"Ew TMI!" said Sylvie laughing

"Sorry Sylvs" Replied Casey as the second shift rolled in

"We're keeping this here by the way" Said Chief placing the frame next to  a few other behind the tv

"Come on, let's get something to eat" Said Casey walking out

"Mind if we join you?" Asked Borelli and Severide at the same time causing the others to laugh

"Sure why not?" Said Casey as they left the house jumping in their cars and headed off to their favourite breakfast place
