Sylvie!

It had been a normal day for 51. Nothing strange or unusual. The guys where being guys goofing around, the girls watching and laughing at the antics. It was a good day. Until they got a call that would change the day and lives of everyone at 51.

The call was a 9 car pile up on a major road way, blocking all the lanes, as the guys got to work Brett and Chilli moved between cars doing what they could. Gabby and Miles doubling as EMTs as well as firefighters, they moved seamlessly from one job to another. one minute it was controlled chaos of yells and shouts of the men and women working on getting the victims out, the next it was the panicked yells of the same men and women as one of their own became pinned under a car that tried to move around them. Said car had ran over Sylvie Brett. Kelly was the first to respond racing over to where she was currently laying, while Capp and Casey pulled the drive from the car throwing a handcuff rope around he's wrist and shoving him to the side. The next was Gabby who started acting as PIC yelling out orders while simultaneously calling for back up ambos. 

"Sylvie! stay with me!" said Kelly as Gabby worked on stoping the blood spilling for the gash on her head. Sylvie focused her eyes on Kelly smiling up at him

"Hey" he said running a hand down her cheek

"Hi" she said softly forgetting where she was and that she was in pain

"It's going to be ok. You've got our best working on you" said Kelly looking up at Gabby.

"There's a reason why she's the mom of  51" he said looking back down as Gabby yelled for the back board. Gabby rolled her on as the lifted her onto the near by gurney.

"Chilli drive!" yelled gabby tossing the keys too her as she and Kelly jumped into the bag, only after Matt yelled that they'd meet them there.

Kelly, Gabby and Chilli sat in the waiting room. The rest of 51 joined them. Matt sitting down next to Gabby who rested her head on he's shoulder.

"She'll be ok" he whispered to her giving her a kiss on the top of her head as she closed her eyes, feeling drained. It was only late afternoon and 51 hadn't moved.

"Gabby?" asked a voice from the door leading down a corridor, she opened her eyes and saw her brother along with he's unit standing there

"Toni? why are you guys here?" she asked

"Halstead got jumped" said Voight

"By a girl" added Ruzek as Gabby sniggered

"Why are you guys here?" he asked walking over to he's sister

"Brett was hit while we were on a call. By a car" she told him

"We'll wait with you guys, if thats ok?" asked voight

"It's fine" said Casey as Gabby shifted into he's lap so Antonio could sit down. It had been hours since they'd heard anything, Jay had been released about an hour ago and he was now waiting with the few IU people left. The rest having headed back to the district.

"Family of Sylvie Brett?" asked a doctor as Kelly stood up

"I'm ah her Fiance" he said to the doc.

"Miss Brett is doing just fine, now stable. She as a few broken ribs from where the car hit her. her lung collapsed during surgery which was a good thing cause we where able to locate the source of her internal bleeding which we where able to stop. Everything looks good" he said as Kelly visibly relaxed

"When can i see her?" he asked the doctor

"Them you mean?" he asked Kelly

"Them?" asked Kelly now confused

"Yes, Miss Brett is pregnant. The baby is also doing fine" he said as Kelly paled, Matt had moved Gabby and grabbed he's arm's friend just in time

"so when can i see them?" he asked

"Follow me" said the doctor as Casey let him go and he followed behind him, He was shown an ICU room where Brett what hooked up to IVs. No breathing tube thankfully although she did have a mask on.

He stripped he's jacket off laying over the back of he's chair before sitting down in it taking Brett's hand. 

It was nearing midnight, Kelly had told everyone to head home, Matt and Gabby stayed though, the nurse had let them into Brett's room as well. They where now curled up on the couch. Kelly still in the seat but falling asleep.

Brett. She could hear a beeping noise in the back ground and she soon forced her eyes open. Feeling sore from head to toe, looking around she spotted the polygraph confused she also saw her heart monitor. She looked to her other side, and noticed Kelly before leaning up a bit to see Gabby and Matt all three asleep. She closed her eyes again leaning back against the pillows. She heard the door to her room open and a doctor walk in, she inspected the polygraph before looking at her heart monitor. She wrote something down in the file she was holding before looking over at Brett.

"Hi Miss Brett, glad to see you awake" she said coming over to the bed side, pulling the mask down

"What's that?" she asked out as the doctor grabbed the cup of water

"Miss Brett, your injuries are no cancern to me, your baby is. Now i'm aware that you didn't know this but as of right now baby and you are doing just fine" she said

"Baby?!" asked Brett as her heart rate picked up

"its ok Miss Brett, Your fiancé here reacted the same way" she said. As she woke Kelly up.

"Sylvie" he said quietly mindful of the ward and room full of sleeping people

"Hi" she said smiling up at him

"Hi" he said back giving her a quick kiss

"Can we do this?" she asked him

"Oh yeah see those two there?" he asked her as she nodded

"they're just two people in our massive family who'll help us in any way possible" he said to her giving her a kiss
