Brothers

6 and a half months Erin has lived without her fiancé. Jay Halstead, but in those six months she's had the support of their unit and a few girls she meet though a support group, who happen to be fire fighters and EMTs at firehouse 51. 

"He knows right?" Asked Gabby as they paced the air port with other friends and family

"Yeah he knows. I skyped him after my appointment and told him to come home in one piece cause we need him" She said laughing

"I bet he was confused!" Said Antonio hugging he's sister. Gabriella Casey who was professionally known as Dawson since it was too confusing at work the others at their house joked when they first got married. Antonio had introduced them just after Jay left once he figured out that both guys would be in the same unit. Gabby and Erin had grown really close and she would even spend some nights at the fire house with her and their other friend Sylvie on of the EMTs.

"God I hate this part!" Said Sylvie as Kim stopped her with a hug

"Hank whats the time?" Asked Erin as Gabby felt a hand on her shoulder turning around she saw the rest of her house in their blues

"Guys come on!" She said laughing

"Ok which one of you set this up?" she asked as Erin and Sylvie laughed

"Anything for our two favourite Lieutenants" Said Otis

"Sargent Major actually" Said Gabby

"Must be stuff for Severide to take order from a friend" Said Cruz as both Sylvie and Gabby shook their heads

"They've always had this amazing bond. Kelly comes across as this tough don't mess with me person but he's always listened to Matt's leadership. They've always respected each other too" Said Gabby

"Their flights landed" Said Hank looking at the screen

"God I think he's going to send me into labour!" Said Erin jokingly

"Well hey now would be perfect look at all these first responders!" said Adam laughing 

With the amount of people around Erin knew it was more than one plane full coming in today and about half an hour later. Men and women dressed in camouflage clothing started slowly coming though the arrivals gate. Hank moved over to hold Erin as she now had her arms wrapped around herself. Matt was the first out. Gabby broke away from her brother and flew at him. He noticed her in an instant dropping he's bag to catch her before holding onto her tightly. She started crying as did he, leaning back enough he looked at her before kissing her. He slowly set her down as she looked up at him

"Hi" she said to him as he chuckled

"Hi Mrs Casey" He said to her kissing her again

"Where's Kelly? Jay?" She asked him 

"Don't worry they're just waiting on their bags I promise they'll be right out" He said walking her back to the group hugging a few of the guys from he's house and the district.

Next out was Jay followed by Mouse. The intelligence unit started to cheer as Jay's eyes landed on Erin he stopped in he's tracks cause mouse to smack into he's back. He looked at Erin before he started to cry. Dropping he's bag he raced over to her before pulling her into a hug, as best he could around her almost 7 month belly. He kissed her deeply before knelling down to kiss her bump

"Hey princess. I'm your daddy. Mummy has told me so much about you and I can not wait to have you in my arms. Don't worry Princess daddy's home and he's never leaving you or mum again" he said to her before he stood back up

"Hey" he said smiling at Erin

"Never leave us again!" She said to him as he laughed

"Not happening!" He said to her as Hank walked over

"Take the next few months off, re-adjust we'll see both of you back with us after her maternity is over" Said Voight

"Thank you sir" he said to him as they shook hands

"Mouse take a few months too" He said as they also shook hands.

With Jay, Mouse and Casey out Sylvie started pacing

"Why isn't he out yet?" She asked

"He was with us we promise! We wouldn't lie to you Sylvie" Said Casey hugging her as Kelly walked out in he's blues

"He just needed to change" Said Casey turning her around to face her boyfriend as he walked through the gate. one of their unit buddies followed him out with he's bags. Sylvie laughed nervously before walking over to him as he pulled her into a tight hug before he stepped back taking her hand

"Sylvie Alexia Brett. You have been my best friend since forever. You're my rock, my life line. When everything around me is falling down you're right there with me making sure I don't fall with everything else. You help me when I'm down. Cheer me up when I'm sad and on a number of occasions taken my PTSD episodes like it's a piece of cake. With out you I truely have no idea of the man I would be. I love you with all my heart and all my soul and you make me a better man. Sylvie I think you are the most beautiful hardworking, selfless, loving and caring person I know and after what we've lived through these past few months I have one thing to ask you." He said knelling down the entire hall going quiet

"Sylvie Brett. Will you marry me?" he asked as she nodded starting to cry, he stood up wrapping he's arms around her before kissing her and spinning her around. He placed her down and looked at her

"That was a yes right?" he asked her as she laughed

"yes! yes! yes a million times over yes!" She said to him as she slipped the ring on her finger. They could hear their family cheering for them as they walked back over and started talking to everyone.

"Alright let's move this to Molly's!" Said Hermann

"Best thing I have heard in months!" Said Casey laughing looking down at he's wife before kissing her again as they walked out of the terminal
