I sit and wait in the waiting room. I wait about twenty minutes, till a non-smiling woman comes out. "Lisandee Lakes." She says, and I stand up. Walking with her, she leads me into a room where a man sat. He looked a bit... Mean. I walk in. "Hello, I am Erin Hotchner. You can sit down right where you are." He says. "Hi. I'm Lisandee Lakes." I say and hold out my hand. He shakes it. "Have we met?" He asks me. "I... I don't believe so..." I say and look at him for a moment. I suddenly gasp. He was the man. The man that was there when I was shot. "Y-yeah. Did you work on the Cutter-Man case?" I ask and he looks a bit surprised. "You, are Lisandee... I'm so sorry for your loss." He says and I stare. We haven't even started the interview. "You haven't heard?" He asks. I stare, wide eyed. "W-What about?" I ask, and he has the same look on his face. "Your parents were killed. They died of loss of blood. I'm so sorry for your loss." He tells me. I could hear sympathy in his voice. "But why didn't anyone tell me? I mean... I saw them the other day." I say, confused. "You must have misunderstood. I'm sorry for your loss. If you would like, we can reschedual." He says. I shake my head, no. "No thank-you. It's alright. How about we get started. I'm sorry for troubling you." I say and sigh. We had gotten started with when my training would be, and health and medical conditions. Obviously I won't be able to start shooting practice. I leave, having been accepted. I was excited, but upset at the death of my parents, I sobbed in the car as I drove home, almost being blinded from my vision. I get home awfully quickly and sob to myself, and call Aiden, telling him what happened. "But on the bright side, you got the college job! When do you start? I'm coming over." He says and hangs up the phone. I cry to myself, in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't that nice. I open the door for Aiden and right away, cry into his chest.
