Once I get home, it's all normal. My cell-phone rings and I answer it, as always. "Hello?" I ask. "This is the Forks Police station, is this Lisandee Lakes?" A man asks. "Yes, would you like anything?" He clears his throat. "No- I would actually like to tell you, that your house can be now in use. Our investigation is over." He says and although he couldn't see me, my eyes widen and my mouth opens slightly. "Did you find anything?" I ask. "No. We could not find anything. I'm sorry Ma'm." He says and I roll my eyes. "Thank you sir." I say, keeping my tone hopeful, and higher. I stand up, annoyed. "Nothing. They found absoloutley nothing. They couldn't investigate anything, even if it was right infront of their faces." I say, and growl.
After one day, I move Raina and I back. That was better, but the secrets. I knew I could take care of Raina and I, that was good. But the baby? I didn't even tell ANYONE! I told Emily, and Becca. That wasn't the best way. I think with my head in my hands. There wasn't a way to get out of this. Abortion was NOT an option. No matter what, not in my life-time would there be an abortion that was my option. "Raina?" I suddenly call out. "Yeah?" She calls back. I sigh in relief, and walk next to her and sit down. " What do you think if you had a baby brother or sister?" I ask her. She gasps suddenly, "Mommy? You're gonna really get me one?" She asks. "Yeah sweetie. Right here." I say and touch my stomach. Raina squints. I could've sworn she looked like Aiden. "Where?" She asks. "You'll find out soon enough." I tell her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~FOURTEEN YEARS LATER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You'll find out soon enough."
Those words haunt me.
They weren't very stable words. I was now thirty-four years old. So many things had happened. I had four children now. A lot to handle, but I was okay. Raina was sixteen. Yasmine was fourteen. Amy was thirteen, and yet another, Mary was twelve. It was hard, I had to admit. But, I dealt with it all pretty good. Emily Prentiss died almost just after Yasmine was born. It was all horrifying. I was still young. But I knew, for sure, that was was for a good reason. Aiden... I still kept him in my heart, and even spoke to him to the girls. "Girls!" I call. I was still Liz, that caring, loud talking Liz. I looked quite the same in my opinion. Still in the pack though. Tons had happened with them, so I'm not even going to think about the past. I hear a few stomps, and then, "Yeah Mom?" One after the other. They were all pretty smart. Aiden's mother and father hated me. I honestly didn't care for them any more. "I'm going to work. I need Raina to watch you all. Call my cell-phone if you need me. Seriously. Be good. Remember, if you need anything call my cell-phone. Someone is at the door, call me. It doesn't matter what happens, call me." I say to them. "Mom, where exactly... Are you going?" Mary asks. The rest of them agree and I sigh, and grin at them.
