I went home thinking. Should I tell someone? I knew I needed to. When I was ten minutes away from Sam and Emilys' house, my phone rings. Christina. I sigh and pick it up. "Hey Christina." I say, trying to sound cheerful. "Your in!" She says excited. "Woah, already?" I ask, surprised myself. "Yeah! Tomorrow come right in and we'll go to your first photoshoot. You'll need some shots for clients to look at." Christina says. She was happy herself. "Cool, I'll be there. When does this end?" I ask, sighing slightly as I get into the driveway. "It'll end around seven. Are you taken that day?" She asks. "Oh, no, it's just family stuff." I say biting my lip. "Alright Liz. Good work. We're all ready! Welcome into the industry." She says and I step out of the car, and pick up my bag. It wasn't that much of a day at work, but still. Work is work. I knock, walk in, and change clothes. Emily, Sam, and I talk for a little while, then watch T.V. I have my dinner and before I knew it, the day was over!
I rush through the pack meeting, and get to work. I didn't think anything else, but the case. That's pretty much what work was. We get started on a case. This was right here, where we lived. There were a group of seven girls, and an infant. Four are dead, including the infant, and one is tramatized. She wouldn't talk, she won't speak, nothing. The other two somehow left the country, and called us to help them. It all seemed suspicious. Way too suspicious. The police station called saying there was a male footprint, a shoe; that was on sight. Every body was left exactly how it was. This was all discovered by the girl, that was tramatized. It seemed awful, but she was alive, but not talking.
We talked about the case, and it all seemed pretty clear this male foot-print was obvious for a reason. We all slit up into two, and I get paired with Emily. We get into the car. I was paired with Emily. "Hey Liz." Emily greets me. "Hey Emily." I say, as we both buckle up and begin driving. It was quite a drive actually, longer than I had expected. "Liz, you've been so quiet lately." Emily says to me. "Oh... There's so much going on.." I say and trail off. Emily looked a bit confused. "Family? Or social?" She asks. "How do you tell someone your pregnant?" I ask her. "Oh... Wow.. Your'e?" She trails off as well. "Yeah. I found out a few days ago. I can't tell anyone when my house is still messed up from what happened to Aiden." I say. Emily knew who Aiden was. I knew she had known what happened at my house as well. "They're family right? They'll listen won't they?" Emily asks. "Aiden's mom hates me now. She says I'm just a bad memory of her son, and she doesn't want anything to do with me. I even when to her first." I say, feeling my voice becoming unsteady. "I'm sure someone else will care. Just be careful. If you don't want to tell the team yet, be really careful." She says and shoots me a look. I laugh and say, "Yes Emily." As if she was an adult in charge of me, and I was the child.
