I pick myself up and pick the girl up as well. My vision was a haze. Another body. I fall onto the ground and my vision goes dark I couldn't hear at all. I try to move. But it blacks out. Only pain.
I wake up to pure white. I thought I ruined it. I thought I was dead. I thought I was fired. I didn't want this. I wanted to hear Raina's baby voice, or Linsey's cries, just to know she was okay. Just to know they were okay. I see Hotchner. I stare at him, wider eyes. "I'm sorry. How are the girls?" I ask. "From the case? Their fine." He says, and I can half hear him. "What happened while I was out?" I ask. "Your family called, you broke your leg and your left ear was damaged." He says and sighs. I sit up and look down. I wasn't wearing my clothes. I pull the blanket up a bit. "I feel like a victim." I say and relax my face. "How is everyone else? Are they okay?" I ask, raising my eye brows again. "Everyone else is fine. Just shaken and a few scratches." He says. "Are you okay?" I ask him. He sighs, and he looks more relaxed. He sits down. "I'm just a little damaged in my left ear as well." He says. "Loud noises, will irritate hearing and people talking will be difficult to hear." He says. "Man. This is a pain. When can we all leave?" I ask. "When we're cleared. You have daughters Liz? This guy, Sam? Says something about your kids?" He says and smiles a bit. I felt butterflies. I smile it feels just right. I feel my eyes light up. "Yeah. Two girls. You have any kids Hotch?" I ask. "A boy. Five years old. Jack." He says and opens his wallet. A woman, Hotch, and Jack. The cutest little boy, ever! I smile. Hotch's eyes light up as well. I open my bag and show him a picture of Raina and Lindsey. A nurse comes in. "Lisandee Lakes, your free to go. Agent Hotchner, your team is waiting near the exit." A nurse says. We both put away our wallets and Hotch leaves the room.
