My Cinderella Story

Chapter 4

We left in Cori's car. It was a nice Lexus. It was a quick drive with Cori. I guess the bus ride is just long because I am alone. We drove and parked in a parking garage close to an Italian restaurant. We decided we would shop than eat.

"I am taking you to Simone's! They have the most gorgeous dresses ever." Cori said sliding her sunglasses up in her head.

We walked for about five minutes until we were in the brightest store I have ever been in. Cori was immediately greeted by an old lady.

"Hello Cori! How can I help you today?" The women'a name tag said Cecile.

"We are looking for dresses for the Summer Fest." Cori said snapping my attention back to the conversation.

"I think I have some exclusives in the back! Follow me." The women said leading us to the back which wasn't that different from the front.

"Cecile I would love to see Merideth in that blue dress right there." Cori said pointing to a full length blue gown. It was really pretty. It had crystals at the top of the bodice and was more flowy and the bottom.

Cecile led me to a dressing room and handed me the dress. I slipped into it with ease and the zipper glided up. I drew back the curtain and Cori's eyes lit up.

"Merideth you look stunning! Like a modern day Cinderella." Cori cooed spinning me around. While I was spinning I caught a beautiful light green dress out of the corner of my eye.

"Cori you have to try this one on!" I grabbed the one shouldered gown. It had gems on the bodice then dropped down the shoulder. She came out and looked stunning.

"Wait we need masks! It is a masquerade." Cori walked over to a table with masks laying out. Two of them seemed to stand out. Cori held masks up comparing them to my dress.

"This one!" She said holding up a blue mask with black and silver accents. I picked a gold one up with flowers at the top.

"Cecile thank you! Now we must go shoe shopping." Cori said handing away her credit card. We left Simone's and walked down the street to Charming Charlie's. we walked through and Cori picked out my jewelry. She picked silver accents to match the dress. Then she picked sliver heels with diamonds all over them. I picked yellow accents to go with her dress. She got a yellow rose ring and other yellow accents. After we were satisfied we left and went to Vinny's for dinner. As we walked down to the restaurant we were pushed around by girls running towards a huge group.

"Merideth is that your family?" Cori said pointing to Vanessa and Bree.

"Crap! I wasn't supposed to leave the house." We ducked down around the crowd and in the process I hit head with a very blonde guy who was followed by four other people.

"You okay?" Cori said as we got passed the mob.

"Yea but I hit my head. " I said rubbing my head.

"Maybe some pizza will help." She said as we walked into Vinny's.
