Chapter 18

Merideth's POV|

"Come on!" Riker said pulling me forward.

"Where are we going?" I said with a blindfold over my eyes.

"That's for me to know." Riker said squeezing my hand.

We walked up some stairs and in to an air conditioned room.

"Ok you can take off the blindfold." Riker said releasing my hand.

I took the blindfold and saw a room full of my friends and the Lynch family.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone yelled.

"Happy birthday!" Riker said kissing my lips.

I couldn't believe they pulled this off. It was my 19th birthday but I didn't feel any different.

I was immediately pulled into a hug between Jace and Cori.

"Happy birthday Mer!" Jace and Cori said in sync.

I went was sat on the couch with everyone. We talked about everything and anything. Ratliff told us about his new drumsticks from Hawaii.

"Where is your stepfamily now?" Ratliff asked.

"I have no idea. I think they live in Malibu now." I said.

"Ok now I get to give you my present!" Riker said popping up and grabbing a package from behind the couch.

"Oh my gosh Riker!" I said opening a lid. I pulled a new little yorkie puppy.

"I remember you saying you loved puppies." Riker said scratching the dog's head.

"What are you going to name it?" Rydel asked looking at the dog.

"She looks like a Macie." I said holding her up.

"Perfect." Riker said kissing me.

Riker's POV|

"Ok go get ready. Make sure you wear your nicest dress." I said.

"Where are we going?" Merideth asked begging.

"It's a surprise." I said closing my door. I walked over to my closet and went to to the back. I pulled out a fabric clothes bag. I unzipped the bag and looked at my suit. It laid there bringing back memories.

"Riker honey you look very handsome." My mom said as I walked down the stairs.

"Thanks mom." I said giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"How are you feeling son?" My dad asked smoothing out my sleeve.

"I just hope that I meet someone that doesn't care that I am Riker Lynch." I confessed.

I pulled on my jacket and looked in the mirror. I flipped my hair and straightened it out.

"Riker?" Merideth knocked on the door. I opened the door to see a stunning women standing there. She had a _________outfit________!

"Can you tell me where we're going now?" She asked.

"Just follow me." I said guiding her downstairs.
