I Can't Let You

Chapter 6

"Holy shit" that is the first thing that comes to my mind as I wake up, not where am I? or what happened? My thoughts are cut off by a worried Jayden bursting into the room.

"Oh my gosh, Zyana are you ok?" He is instantly by the side of the bed. And he is shirtless, oh sweet baby Jesus... yum.

"Um, no, my head it, it hurts really bad" The pains in my head are so bad that I have to close my eyes.

"Yeah, I gathered that it would, that was why I went downstairs to grab some Panadol" Jayden replies, putting his hand over mine. This small gesture sends sparks up and down my arms. But I ignore them, he doesn't want me anyway.

"What happened?" I open my eyes and attempt to sit up to take the tablets and ignore the pain in my head, this is a job in itself.

"Well after you fainted I brought you up to my room." Jayden says while shrugging his shoulders.

"Your room?" Memories of last night come flooding back to me and I instantly remember that he has been ignoring me and doesn't want to see me. I quickly take the tablets and get up.

"Well thanks, but I'll be going now, sorry for the inconvenience." I start to walk away but the sound of his voice stops me.

"Zyana, wait! Please don't leave me, I know that I have been an idiot and have been ignoring you but I didn't know what to do. I like you, a lot and I didn't know how to handle these feelings so I chose to avoid them... and you. But now I realise that I can't avoid you, I like you too much. Call me selfish but I want to spend all of my time with you" He finishes his speech by saying something under his breath like "Well at least the next week" but I couldn't be too sure and my head hurts too much already.

"What are you trying to say?" I ask trying to hide my excitement.

"Zyana Blewn, will you go out with me?"

"Really? Of course I will" I start to run back over to Jayden but instantly regret it when I feel really dizzy. I run to the ensuite bathroom, and (unfortunately) empty the remains of my stomach into the toilet. Well at least I made it to the toilet.

I feel Jayden behind me as he picks up my hair and kisses my neck.

This was how we spent the rest of the morning.

Once I was finally sure that I was done being sick and the Panadol had kicked in Jayden decided to drive me home, I felt really bad for leaving Tanna but Jayden assured me that she was fine. When we walked outside Jayden led me to a motorcycle.

"Umm, I thought you had a car?" I asked looking at the motorcycle while contemplating my options.

"I do but Maggie is using It while hers is being serviced" Jayden replies.

"Oh, kay. Who's servicing it?" I ask, wondering if I could get my car serviced there.

"Me" he replies while passing me a helmet.

I put the helmet on and cautiously walk over to the bike as though it may explode or something. I would usually run and jump at the chance to ride on my boyfriends motorcycle but I had just been sick like 14 times so you can understand my hesitation. I then feel hands around my waist and I let out a squeal as Jayden lifts me up and onto the bike. He gets on as well and I put my hands around his waist. (I can feel abs beneath his shirt).

As soon as Jayden kicks off my grip instantly tightens but after a few moments I realise that I quite enjoy the feeling of the wind rushing through my hair.

Unfortunately the journey is short and soon enough we are pulling up to where Tanna picked me up last night. Jayden parks the bike and grabs my hand while walking me to my door.

"So this is where we say our goodbyes" I comment as we reach the door.

"Unfortunately, yes but before I go, will you go out with me tomorrow?"

"I would love to" I answer with a small smile that almost instantly turns into a massive smile after seeing how happy he looks with my response. He gives me a quick kiss before I enter my dorm to see an excited Steph run back to her bed after obviously listening at the door.

"You first" I tell Steph and she is instantly telling me all about her date with Daniel. It turns out they went to a small Italian restaurant about ten minutes down the road and it apparently had the best pesto and chicken pasta. After that Steph and Daniel walked around the garden across the road for a little while until they thought it was about time to get back here where they kissed goodnight and she waited for me until falling asleep.

"Sorry I didn't come home, I had a bit of a malfunction." I tell Steph once she had finished her story.

"What kind of malfunction?" she asks and I plunge into my story of what happened in the past 24 hours.

Once I finished telling Steph about my night we decided to watch a movie on Netflix. About half way through the movie Steph and I decide to host a sleepover. We text Tanna and Brooklynn, pull our mattresses on to the floor to make one big bed for the four of us and prepare ourselves for a night full of fun and games.

Luckily I was feeling a lot better by the time the doorbell rang so the party instantly went into full swing. We decided to make a braiding train with Steph at the back and me in the front. We had started with talking about Tanna's night last night, we then went to Brooklynn's and we had now just finished talking about Steph's.

"So, tell me about your night last night" Brooklynn from behind me. I hadn't really spoken to Brooklynn much before this night but in the last hour I had managed to create a really close bond with her. Turns out her and William had been dating sine primary school. How cute is that!

I then plunged into the story of my past 24 hours for the second time today.

By the end of my story we had finished each other's braids and Tanna was practically squealing with delight.

"YAYAYAYAYAYAY" Tanna screamed as she pulled me in for a hug. "For the record, I was definitely shipping Jayana way before this happened."

"Jayana?" I laugh at the name.

"Yeah, well it was either that or Zayden but Brooklynn voted for Jayana, so..."

"You voted?" I ask pointing a finger at Brooklynn with my eyebrows raised.

"Well.... Yeah, I was shipping you too and you needed a name" she replies with a cheeky grin.

"Oh brother" I respond as we go to the next conversation of my date tomorrow.
