I Can't Let You

I know the chapters are short but until I get more readers I can't really do much about that, sorry.

After our last class Steph and I head back to our dorm still discussing the party for that night. Once in the dorm Steph shows me the dress she was thinking of wearing. It is of course completely pink but she somehow pulls it off, it is tight at the top and then flows down to stop mid-thigh. After having a shower I decide on a completely skin tight dress that stops mid-thigh, it is mainly covered in a black and purple pattern. I leave my hair in its natural waves and pull it into a half up half down hairstyle. After slipping on a pair of flats Steph and I leave the room to go to the party.

After driving for about 10 minutes we reach a big house booming with music. I'm surprised they haven't got a noise complaint. Parking the car on the street we head in, there weren't many cars in the driveway and I'm guessing this is because people expect themselves to be too drunk to be driving home, at least their being safe.

After scanning the first room for Daniel, Steph and I head to search the rest of the massive house. I start to wonder where he could be when I hear my name being called.

"Hey Daniel" I turn to find the blonde boy standing not two feet from me.

"Hey, who's this?" He asks pointing to Steph.

"Oh, sorry, this is my roommate Steph, Steph this is Daniel" I respond instantly noticing how Steph starts blushing while greeting him.

"My friends are over here," Daniel tells Steph and I while leading us over to a couch in the middle of the room.

After following Daniel past a girl who was puking all over the floor and another dancing on a table we reach Daniel's friends.

"Yo Dan, who'd you bring with you" asks a guy sitting on the left armrest of the couch. He has black shaggy hair, and is wearing all black. There is a girl sitting on his lap, she has long, straight red-brown hair and she is wearing ripped jeans shorts and a tank top with a moustache on it. She has big brown eyes, tanned skin and a nose piercing. She is stunning.

"This is Zyana, the girl I told you about. And this is her friend Steph." Daniel introduces us. "And these are my friends William,," He points to the guy who spoke just before, "Brookynn,"

"That's me!" The girl on William's lap chimes in with a smile.

"That's Tanna," Daniel points to a girl sitting cross legged in the middle of the couch, she has light brown hair, grey eyes and a black jumpsuit on. She smiles and I can't help but instantly like her when she stands and wraps her arms around me in a hug,

"HI, as you know now I am Tanna and I am your go-to-girl, anytime any day. If you need anything I will help you." Tanna tells us with a smile.

"And she means it" William chimes in with a smile. I really like Daniels' friends.

"Oh, and that's Jayden" Daniel points to a guy who is walking over to the couch.

I literally feel my jaw drop to the ground but I quickly compose myself. He is gorgeous. He has short brown hair with a fringe that is swept to the side, hazel eyes that look gold and tanned skin. He is wearing a navy blue top that sticks to his toned body like a second skin. He definitely works out. He is wearing black jeans and black converses. Once again, wow.

As he gets closer to the group he smiles and I think I melt. Seriously, these feelings are only read about in cheesy romance books. I'm not saying it's love at first sight but it's definitely something.

"Hi, I'm Jayden" He introduces himself while showing of his cute dimples.

"I'm Zyana, and this is my roommate Steph," I introduce Steph as she can't seem to take her eyes off of Daniel for long enough to notice the god standing infront of us.

"Liking the name, what's your major?" Jayden asks me and I almost forget to answer because I am so nervous.

"Business, you?" I reply with a smile.

"Same, do you want a drink?"

"Umm, is there anything non-alchaholic here?" I ask only semi-serious.

"Oh, no sorry, you must be at the wrong address, the grandma's knitting club is a few streets down" he replies and we instantly burst out laughing.

"You two seem to be getting along but may I please steal Jayden away for a few minutes, or more" a brunette asks with a wink and I instantly dislike her.

"Uh, yeah I'll meet you outside in a minute Maggie" Jayden replies, not taking his eyes off of me.

"Fine!" she huffs "But don't be long." She snaps, leaving the room with a scowl on her face.

"Sorry about her," he apologises.

"It's fine, you don't have to explain to me." I say feeling worse and worse by the second.

"Well I hope to see you later." And with that he leaves the room, taking my happiness with him.
