2 MONTHS LATER...

Red and Blue usually shared a tight bond, but that late fall day at Hyrule square, a rival formed. It all started with casual small talk, but as tensions rose, to competitors dealed to a fair battle of slingshot accuracy and speed. The whole town was told and invited to come, and more than three fourths of the kingdom attended the battle.
Blue and Red lined up at the newly built arena. They looked at each other, Red laughed. All around them seats were taken and people were cheering.
"Shooters, at your spots!" The manager said, "set...fire!" They both pulled out their sling shots and looked for targets. The first one was a red square, Blue pulled out his slingshot and fired. Red was too slow and Blue got the point before him. Another target showed up and Blue was on his role hitting the target right in the bull's eye. The rest of the half went like this and at halftime it was
Red 0, Blue 9
When the second half began Red looked to the stands and saw Zelda staring back at him, Zelda blew a kiss. Red smiled and blew her a kiss. Then he went up to the firing blocks. Every hit is 1 point and every bull's eye is 3 points.
The bell rang and they started to shoot. Blue nailed a bull's eye, but Red reacted faster to the upencoming target and hit that one in the bull's eye. The second half went just like this, and then with 1 minute in the game, something clicked for Red. Red looked to the sky and pointed, "This one's for Chuck!" He said and grabbed his slingshot.
With fifty five seconds and Red down 9-17, the comeback was real.

Red gazed the shooting lot and acted quickly when a target came up, hitting it on the money.
12-17 47 seconds left
Looking around for more another target popped up, Red hit that one too. Right in the middle.
15-17 40 seconds left
Red saw another target and shot at it too, but it nearly missed it, smacking the target on the edge.
16-17 35 seconds left
Red looked around but Blue beat him to the chase and struck yet another bull's eye.
16-20 29 seconds left
Red gazed the field and when a target sat up in the middle of the rangw, both Red and Blue shot at the same time, their rocks collided and fell short. The target was untouched and sank back into the range
16-20 20 seconds left
This time two target shot up, so while Blue was reloding, Red put two rocks in his slingshot and shot both of the rocks at the same time, both hitting a target.
18-20 11 seconds left
Red looked around again for another target, when he found one, he narrowly missed it by a few inches.
18-20 4 seconds left
On the last second a target popped up and Red shot at it as fast as he could. The rock sailed through the air and nailed the target so hard that it made a whole in the bull's eye spot.
21-20 FINAL
Red and Blue turned to eachother, "well played" Blue said shaking Red's hand. Red brought it into a hug, "Good game." Red beamed. Red always thought he would loose to Blue. Maybe he wasn't as bad at aiming as he thought. Then Red started to think. 'Well if I'm as good as Blue with aiming and shooting, and as good as Link with the sword. But I have majic....does that make me....a super Link?' Red shook his head of all of it. It was too much for him. But it actually wasn't. Red had known this for a long time...he's just wanted to forget...
