chapter 13

Red appeared at Hyrule, no in Hyrule, in Hyrule square. There he was teleported above a large table, all around him was a crowd of men and women civilians gathered to watch the squads. Zelda was standing in between a pair of houses talking to the squads, about seven squads were there, missing three to make a grand total of 10 squads.

Red fell onto a table. Once again drained of his energy, all he could do was lay there in the shards of glass and silverware. Everything stopped. The talking, the music, the chirping of the virds, it all stopped. Zelda saw Red ND ran over to him, crouching down, "what happened?" She immediately asked, holding up his head, "let me die..." Red mumbled, then he blacked out. Zelda took a moment to realize what was going on, "I can't do that." She said, "somebody coke over here, he's lost a lot of blood!" And everything started to move again.

They put Red in his room and bandaged him up. He had three major wounds, that seed through his old cloths, completely ruining them (like they weren't trashed enough) there was a large gash along his right arm, and a huge hole in his shoulder. Then there was a huge spot that was stabbed at multiple times on his chest.
He lay there in the sun naked on his bed except for the bandages that were everywhere on his body.
As Red woke up, he remembered that Pacman, Blue and Link had ied and Chuck was probably dead, too. He lay there looking at the ceiling, wondering when it would be his time to go.
He then shut his eyes. He just wanted to sleep it all away...

There was a knock on the door. Red's eyes opened and he looked over at it, he almost got up but when he heard Zelda's voice, he lay back down. "Open up! I know you're awake! I want to talk to you!" Red then turned on his side and pretended to sleep as he looked at the wall. "I have the keys to the room!" Zelda insisted.
Red stayed put. There was a moment, then the door clicked and opened. Light shown into his room. The candle wasn't lit, so the only other light was the sun's gaze through the window.
Zelda approached Red and stood next to his bed. She sat on the edge of it and listened to him breathe. There was a silence. "Just talk to me. Please..." Zelda begged. Red sat up and looked her straight in the eye. "I'm sorry...I don't know what else to say..." Zelda said looking at Red's bruised forehead. She moved a stray hair from his face and tucked it behind his ear. "If you don't have anything to say then...don't say anything." Red mumbled. Another silence. "I just let three of my best freinds die. And for what?! Just so I can live the rest of my life pondering over what I should've done?" Zelda looked Red in the eye and said "you could live for me?" Red and Zelda's eyes met and it was the perfect moment. And just like that, Zelda kissed Red.
