Monk and Natalie stared at that one passage in the book. "You're sure you didn't see who left this?" Mr. Monk asked, turning around to face Natalie. "I'm positive, there was no one at the door!" Natalie replied, "Why? Do you think a high-school kid left this book on your doormat as a joke?"

"Maybe." Mr. Monk said, turning back around to face the book, "But it doesn't look like something a high-school kid would write." He flipped to the next page. It was blank for a second, then words started to form across the top of the page. It said:

Chapter 1

It's Only Just the Beginning

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Definitely not a high-school kid." Mr. Monk said. And on the book, it wrote exactly what he just said. "Woah, that's freaky." Natalie said, and the book wrote what she said too. "The book, seems to be writing down everything we say and do." Mr. Monk said slowly, doing his 'hands' thing again. "How is it doing that?" Natalie said, picking up the book, and flipping through the pages. "I don't know." Mr. Monk said slowly. "It's finished writing the chapter!" Natalie said, and stared at one page, "Mr. Monk look at this." She said, placing the book back on the desk, "Look what it says!" Mr. Monk peered closer at the page. It said:
And with an almighty,
CRASH!
The Tardis landed in Mr. Monk's apartment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"What's a Tardis?" Natalie asked.

"It's in a British Tv show called 'Doctor Who'. It's a, kind of blue box." Mr. Monk answered, "But it's just a story!" Mr. Monk exclaimed, "How can it -?" But before he could finish the sentence, there was an almighty,

CRASH!

And a blue box appeared in front of them.

Natalie and Mr. Monk stared at the blue box in silence. "Is, that the Tardis?" Natalie asked, turning to face Mr. Monk. Mr. Monk nodded. His mouth was agape, and his eyes seemed to be popping out of his head. "Mr. Monk are you ok?" Natalie asked concerned. "It's, filthy!" Mr. Monk cried, pointing at the Tardis, "Give me some wipes!" Natalie pulled out the packet of wipes, and handed it to him. Mr. Monk pulled out two wipes, walked towards the doors, and started wiping them. That's when the doors flew open, and a man with brown hair stepped out. He glanced around the room, and then spotted Monk, who was still washing the doors. "What are you doing?" The man asked Mr. Monk, with a British accent. "Your Tardis, is really dirty." Mr. Monk replied, still wiping the doors, "I'm cleaning it. You'll thank me later."

"Ok..." The man said slowly, staring at Monk bewildered, "You sound American, are we in America?" The man said smiling, looking around the room once more. "Yeah, you're in San Francisco, California." Natalie replied cautiously, staring suspiciously at the man, "Who are you?"

"Oh, I'm the Doctor! Just the Doctor." The Doctor answered, smiling. Natalie raised her eyebrows, "I'm Natalie Teeger, and that's Adrian Monk." She said, guesturing to Mr. Monk, who had finished cleaning the doors, and was starting on the sides. "The Adrian Monk?" The Doctor said, grinning turning to face Mr. Monk, "From the Tv Show?" Mr. Monk stopped wiping the Tardis, turned to look at the Doctor. "Tv show?" Mr. Monk asked confused. "Yeah! There's a Tv show called 'Monk'."
