My head shot up and looked at Zayn, who had a serious expression plastered across his face. He grabbed my arm and pulled me along with him to hide behind a large tree trunk.

"Shh. Don't make any noise." The tree was only wide enough to allow one of us to stay hidden, so Zayn akwardly pulled me into a hug. I was tall enough to comfortably rest my head on his chest, right below his neck. The smell of his crisp cologne wafted into my nose, making me shudder.

The men began talking. "Do you see anyone?"

"No, but I swear I heard someone laugh." I started panicking, since I was the one who had laughed too loudly. The crunching of the branches got closer. Zayn and I shuffled a bit to the left to keep out of their vision. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that the two men were guards, one of which had a gun in his hand. They walked closer and closer to where Zayn and I were standing. I was frozen in Zayn's grasp.

"How long ago did you hear them?"

"A couple minutes."

"They're probably gone by now then."

"Hmm."

It was silent for a second, then Zayn pulled his arms away, without me noticing, leaving me hugging him akwardly. He cleared his throat. "They're gone."

"Hm?" I asked, and then realized what he said. I quickly took my arms away and felt the heat rush to my cheeks. "Oh, sorry." I had gotten too caught up in the feeling of his warmth. "Well we should probably go before they come back," I said, desperately trying to change the subject.

"If you want." I just nodded, pulling up my hood and covering my ears with my hands to block out the wind. Zayn pulled off his hat and held it out for me.

"Won't you get cold?"

"Nah." I gratefully took it and put it on. As we were walking back to the fence, he pulled out a cigarette and held the packet open for me. I shook my head and he shrugged before putting the cigarette into his mouth and lighting it.

"They're going to smell it."

"I don't think so babe. They're too busy sleeping." I rolled my eyes and we approached the fence. I grabbed onto it and began climbing, then jumped off the side and waited for Zayn to do the same.

We stood quietly for a moment, at the point where we had to split into different directions, until I broke the silence. "I, um, had fun. Besides the fact that we almost got arrested." He chuckled.

"That doesn't usually happen."

"Well, it was still exciting."

"Life can be always be exciting. You just have to learn to live." I smiled. Then, he turned away and started to walk in the other direction.

"Friends hug eachother goodbye you know," I called out after him, making him turn around. He smirked and ran up to me and gave a bone-crushing hug. I giggled as he finally sat me down.

"That's two hugs from me in one day. You must be a special friend," he said, grinning. I laughed at him and then turned around, as he did the same. After I had a couple of yards, I realized that I had forgotten to give his hat back. I turned around to tell him, but he was already out of sight.
