I decided to not sulk over Zayn's decision to leave, this time. He can do whatever he chooses. Who am I to judge? I called my friends, and asked them if they wanted to go anywhere. We decided to meet up at a small restaurant for dinner, just us girls. Since Zayn took our car, I had to take a cab.
When I finally got to the restaurant, I saw that they were already there waiting for me.
"Hey guys," I smiled, hiding my sadness. They greeted me back as I joined them at the table.
"Hey!" They greeted me back. I sat down at the empty spot next to Aria.
"So Alex, when is your wedding?" Scarlet asked. Alex's face lit up with happiness when her wedding was mentioned.
"We bumped it up a little actually. We're thinking about having it in two weeks."
"Two weeks?" I exclaimed. "We're going to have to get everything really soon."
"Yeah. And Nikki, I was going to ask you. Would you be able to make my dress?"
"Yeah, sure! I'd love to. You're going to have tell me your ideas though." She grinned at me and took a slip of paper out of her purse and handed it to me across the table. "How'd you know I would say yes?"
"Because you're you." I laughed as I took the paper from her. It had the dress drawn out exactly how she wanted it.
"Ok I'll try to finish it as soon as possible."
"That's fine."
"So when should we get together to decorate and plan?" Scarlet asked.
"Well I don't know if I'll be free. I'm going to have a lot of work to do," I commented.
"That's ok. You can come whenever you're free," she replied. Then, a waiter came around with our food. We all thanked him and then ate, while we laughed away any of our sorrows, mine included.
Once we were done eating, we all waited outside to try and catch cabs for everyone.
"Here I got one!" Ivy yelled as she pointed to a cab coming our way. "Nikki, you can take this one. The three of us will get another one."
Before I could say anything, Aria cut in, "Um actually you and Scarlet can take that one. I think I'm going to hang back a bit." I looked up at her in confusion. She gave me an I'll-tell-you-later-look so I just shrugged.
"Ok. Well we'll see you tommorow, Ari. And bye, Nikki!" Scarlet exclaimed.
"See you guys!" I hoped they didn't take it personally that Ari was coming with me. I don't even know why she was.
We sat on a small bench and table outside the restuarant.
"So what's up?" I asked.
"You tell me."
"What?"
"I could read you like an open book, Nikki," she explained.
"Nothing's wrong," I said, honestly not wanting to talk about anything.
"Just tell me."
I sighed. "So my dad called today."
She gasped. "Are you serious?" I nodded slowly.
"And then he started trashing on Zayn about how he isn't making enough money and stuff and that angered him a little," I continued. "So he left this afternoon and didn't exactly tell me where he went. Last time he did this, he got drunk and the police caught us."
"Oh. Well if you want I can call Carter and we can help you find him."
"Nah. Honestly, I don't want to mess with him. If he cares, then he won't do anything stupid." She nodded at me.
