The next day, Zayn took me little places in Bradford that he had always liked as a child. We got back home in the early evening around 6, leaving me with enough time to pack and get ready for my flight to Italy tommorow. I had been dreading it for days now, knowing that Zayn wouldn't be coming with me.
"Hey do you need any help or anything?" Doniya asked me. She had come over to say goodbye, and also to thank me for keeping the Waliyha-thing a secret.
"No I think I'm good," I replied, zipping up my bag.
"Alright. And um Waliyha wanted to see you. Do you think you could come with me?"
"Yeah sure. I don't have anything else to do today." I set my bags against the wall and went downstairs with Doniya.
"We'll be back," she called out into the house to nobody in particular. Zayn, who was in the living room, looked up in confusion. I just shrugged my shoulders, knowing that he wasn't supposed to know where we were going. Then, we drove away to go to the hotel.
"So did you have fun in London?"
"Yeah tons," I smiled.
"It's a really beautiful place. Nice place to go shopping."
"Yeah definetly! I spent a lot more on clothes than I should've," I agreed. We talked for a little bit more, until we finally got to the hotel where Waliyha was staying with Kyle. We went straight to her room upstairs.
Waliyha opened the door immediately.
"Having fun being cooped up in here?" Doniya asked her.
"Actually we went out a couple times." She allowed us to come in. Kyles was taking a nap on the bed.
Then to me, Waliyha exclaimed, "Hey Nikki!"
"Hey, how are you?"
"I'm perfect." We hugged eachother and then the three of us sat down on the chairs in the corner of the room.
Doniya was the next to speak, but she spoke solemnly. "When are you coming back Wali? Mum and Dad are worried sick."
Waliyha's expression grew serious. "You didn't tell them, did you?" Doniya shook her head. "Maybe in a bit. I've been having a lot of fun spending time with Kyle. We don't have anything holding us back."
"I get it, but you can't stay here forever."
"I know. We're still trying to figure things out," she answered, twindling her thumbs. "Can you try to convince them? Kyle is such a great person. Why don't Mum and Dad like him?"
This time, I rested my hand on her knee and spoke, "I know you think he's amazing and I'm sure he is, but sometimes our family can see a lot clearer than we can. I learned this the hard way, trust me." She looked up at me.
"I guess you're right. I hadn't noticed until now, but he's been a bit more irritated lately," she whispered, sadly.
"I'm sorry Waliyha."
"That's okay. It isn't your fault, but I appreciate your help. And your's, Doniya. I'll talk to him." Doniya and I nodded.
