Welcome To My Life

Chapter 1

Mackenzie's P.O.V

"Sophia, Mackenzie time to get up for school." Mum called

Sophie got up straight away. I stayed in bed, dreading the day ahead of me. Sophia got up and got dressed before she turned towards me. "Mac. You heard mum it's time to get up for school." Sophie told me. I replied with a groan before I rolled over.

"Mac don't make me tickle you." Sophie sang in an annoying voice. I turned around and glared at Sophie a few seconds later

"You wouldn't dare." I replied to her as I stayed glaring at her

Sophie gave me an annoying smirk. "Try me." Sophie responded

I refused to move from where I was so Sophie pounced on top of me before she started tickling me. "Sophie...Get...Of...Me." I yelled in between fits of laughter. Sophie laughed as I tried to get away from her.

"Ow." Sophie whined a minute later as I accidentally tickled her.

"You were the one who tickled me. If you tickle me I'm not responsible for your injuries." I told her as Sophie pouted at me

"I just want you to get up. I don't want to be late because of you again." Sophie replied to me. I stuck my tongue out at her

"Then go to school and leave me alone." I mumbled as I closed my eyes a second later.

"Mackenzie get up!" Sophia yelled at me as she jumped on top of me.

"Get off me!" I yelled as I pushed her off me. Sophia fell of the bed and landed on the floor with a thud.

"Ow." She whined again. "That hurt Mac."

"Then don't jump on me and leave me alone to sleep." I replied

Sophie got up and climbed onto my bed again. "Mac." She shouted in my ear as she pulled at my arm. "Come on! We are going to be late for school again." Sophia continued to whine in my ear.

"Leave me alone." I shouted as I rolled over. Mum came into the room a few minutes later.

"Come on you two. Instead of arguing with each other you should be getting up and ready for school. Sophie stop annoying your sister. Mackenzie stop being lazy and get up. You're going to school today whether you like it or not." Mum told us firmly

I groaned at mum. "But...I'm too tired." I replied to her. Mum gave me a look.

"Mac you'd better get out of bed right now before I get your father in here." I looked at her a second later. Before I sat up and threw the covers off me. I climbed out of bed and made my bed.

"I'm up." I told her just as dad came into the room.

"What's all the noise in here? Is someone being killed or something?" He asked me and Sophie. We both shook our heads

"Good. Now both of you come downstairs and have breakfast."

"Yes dad." Me and Sophia both mumbled as we went towards the door and went out of our bedroom.

We went downstairs and into the dining room. Dad sat down next to me. "So Mackenzie. Sophie's having a sleepover on Friday. Would you like to invite one of your friends over as well so you aren't left out?" My dad asked me. I looked up at my dad

"T-there's just one problem..." Sophia interrupted me.

"Yeah. You don't have any friends." Sophie said as she looked at me.

"That's not true! I have plenty of friends!" I argued. Sophie looked at me with her eyebrows raised.

"Oh really? Because I never really see you talking to anyone at break time apart from the special kids." Sophie said as she looked at me. My dad looked at me worriedly. I looked away from him.

"They're not special kids just because they have special needs Sophie." I mumbled.

"Yeah but it's the only group of people you fit into." Sophie reminded me.

"Sophia that's enough!" Mum yelled as she came towards us with our food.

"What? I'm just stating the truth. Mackenzie doesn't really talk to anyone else..." Sophie trailed off.

Yeah because they bully me and think I'm some kind of freak

"Maybe I don't want to have lots of friends like you Sophie." I retorted.

"Or maybe you don't fit in with anybody." Sophie mumbled under her breath.

Tears pricked into my eyes as soon as she said that. Sophie was nice...some of the time. She changed a lot when she started to make friends with the popular kids at our school. Apart of me missed the old Sophie even though I know she's happy and having fun.

"What do you expect if you cower in the corner every time someone tries to talk to you? Or you stutter or you act like some kind of weirdo? Mackenzie you don't do yourself any favours by being shy." Sophie continued. Mum and dad looked at me with a worried expression on their face.

"I'm fine." I mumbled. "I'm fine I promise."

I'm not okay. Please take me away from this nightmare. I thought to myself.

Mum and dad looked at me. "are you sure?" Dad asked me.

"I'm sure." I replied as I forced a smile on my face.

"Good. Now go and get dressed. You need to leave in ten minutes."

Authors Note:

So first chapter is up! The song on the side is called 'Welcome to my life' By Simple Plan. (They'll be a lot of Simple Plan songs because they're my favourite band....) They'll more than likely be some Demi songs as well but for this chapter is Welcome to my life.
