A/N this chapter is kinda more of an interpretive chapter, and less of a dialogue chapter.
Evie's five kidnappers crashed their van into another one, and since they were going way over the speed limit and they just threw Evie in the back, the crash had a lot of impact which made the two vehicles's windows's break which sent Evie flying.
One of the men grabbed Evie and started running with the rest of his gang, but the police kept chasing after them.
After about thirty minutes the man who was carrying Evie gave up and tossed her to the side of the rode and just kept running. A paramedic picked up Evie gently and realized she had to get to the hospital fast.
While the paramedics where bringing Evie to the hospital, policemen where chasing after her kidnappers. They eventually caught up them, but they lost one and they have no trace of where he went. It was no other than Chad.
At the hospital Evie was still unconscious with slight chance of being in a coma. She had multiple injuries: two broken ribs, one broke arm, one broken leg, and possible brain trauma.
The doctors already were forced to fix her ribs because it was broke in a spot where it would be almost impossible to breath. It was risky to preform that surgery before she was awake, but if they didn't she would have died almost right away.
About two hours after the surgery, only one person could go back this time. So obviously Jay was going to go.
Jay pulled a chair next to Evie's weak body. He took Evie's small, bruised hand in his and rubbed it ever so gently with his thumb. He felt tears trickle down his cheek. Why is he here again? Why do people have to keep hurting his princess?
Jay sighed as he looked at the monitor, everything was very slow and her blood pressure was low. He looked back at Evie, her chest was very very slowly rising and falling. He currently knew for a fact that she could be dead in any second, but he wasn't going to let that happen. All Jay wanted right now was for Evie to wake up. He didn't care if she wasn't smiling or wasn't talking, he just needed his princess to wake up. He needed more hope, he needed to know that there was a higher chance of her surviving, smiling again, laughing again, and just having a higher chance of being Evie again.
Jay sighed he knew in a half hour or less he would have to leave, but he didn't want to leave until he knew for sure that Evie was awake.
A week had passed and then another one and another one and still there was no change in Evie. There was one good thing on this however she wasn't getting worse, but her friends were. School had finally ended and Jay was pretty sure he had failed the eleventh grade. Mal was sure that her whole would be miserable without Evie in it, and Carlos was sure that he could never succeed in anything technological again. Everybody was becoming miserable.
Jay was visiting Evie everyday as long as he possibly could. He knew it hurt him each to know that Evie wasn't getting any better, but he just couldn't resist not seeing his princess for more than a couple hours.
What worried Jay the most was that Chad was still on the loose, and he was still probably ready to attack Evie whenever he could find the chance.
Jay was coming over to the hospital to visit Evie again. He pulled up the chair and sat down. He took her hand again and placed kiss on her cheek. Jay sighed as he played with the bracelet on her wrist. The main reason he got her this bracelet was because he loved her. Yes, he loved her before they were six, but he couldn't help it she was so beautiful and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her since the moment he saw her. Of course though he couldn't tell her all that. Now he could just hope that he would be able do that.
