Get Through it Together

I promise

"Evie you're awake" Jay said immediately rising from his chair. Evie smiled slightly as she reached her fragile hand out to hold Jay's strong larger ones. Jay gently grasped it, and kissed it gently. Jay felt tears rolling down his cheeks as he sat back down. He kissed the side of Evie's bruised forehead. "You look gorgeous you know" Jay said rubbing his thumb on her hand ever so gently.

Evie blushed slightly but to Jay's dismay Evie replied "you and I both know that's not true"

Jay looked at Evie with sorrow filled eyes "Eves you are beautiful and I will always always be here for you and I know that for a while all of us have been ignoring you and you have no idea how much we have been regretting that, but from now on we will always care for you and always be there for you. You were always beautiful and will always be beautiful. Please don't anyone let you tell you different because they are dead wrong."

Evie had tears trickling down her cheeks.

"Eves please don't cry I just want you to be happy"

Evie took a deep breath in as she began to talk " no one has ever called me beautiful before since the longest time and has actually meant it Jay. No one has ever even paid attention to my feelings before. You're the first person to actually care for me since I can remember."

Jay took a deep a breathe what should I say next he thought. Jay looked at the blue beauty next to him with tears falling down her fragile face. He may not know what to say, but there is one thing he could do. Jay leaned into the  blue haired girl's broken body, and gave a gentle hug. Evie leaned her head on Jay's shoulder as she continued to cry.

About a half and hour later they were just talking or being silent. Until a nurse came in and checked on Evie. Evie was completely distracted by Jay she didn't even realize what the nurse was doing. About another half hour later Jay had to leave. Which did not go down well with Evie. "Jay you can't leave me" Evie whimpered.

"Eves you know how much I don't want to leave I'd rather be right than anywhere else, but I'm not aloud to stay here and I'm pretty if I did stay I would be kicked out and you wouldn't see me for a long while."

"Jay you can't leave me here alone what if something happens"

"Evie, nothing is going to happen to you I promise, you are in good hands"

Evie just whimpered and shook her head. "Jay you have to stay with me"

Jay sighed this the hardest thing in his life ever. She is absolutely terrified of everyone but him. She thinks they are going to hurt her. Why does this have to happen? She might not be afraid Mal and Carlos either, but she hasn't saw them yet and he just didn't know what to do.

"Mr. Cobra you must leave now or you will be kicked out."

Evie whimpered.

Jay whispered  "I'll be back first thing tomorrow"

"Promise?"

Jay kissed her forehead "I promise"
