Chapter 11

Jaden's P.O.V.

I was currently walking around Duel Academy, trying to find Skylar.

All this time, I've been trying to mend her because of what has been happening with Jesse and Chazz.

Alexis and the others have been trying, but it doesn't seem to be working. I feel sorry for her, and I want to help her.

I heard a pair of footsteps walk down the hallway, catching my attention. I turned around and what I saw made me stop dead on the spot.

It was Skylar. She was different.

Instead of wearing her Obelisk Blue Uniform, it was a dark, almost jade green uniform similar to the girl's uniforms, and it had light green lining. She had a pair of green boots, black arm-length gloves with green on them.

When I looked at her, I saw that she was wearing what seemed to be her Millennium necklace.

"What are you staring at, Slacker?" she said in a cold voice.

"Skylar? What happened to you?" I asked her.

"Oh, this? You like it? This just goes to show that I am done with everybody. Chazz, Jesse, all of it." she replied.

I looked at her eyes and I examined them.

Lifeless, emotionless, and nothing but hunger, anger, and sadness mixed in them.

To make things worse, her eyes were the same way as Alexis's when she and I dueled and I freed her from the Society of Light.

"Skylar. Let me help you, please." I told her as I placed a hand on her shoulder.

"DON'T TOUCH ME YOU FILTHY SLIMEBALL SLIFER SLACKER! I DON'T NEED HELP FROM ANYONE!" she shouted with fury in her voice.

"Skylar, I'm trying to help you with your Jesse/Chazz problems!" I tried to convince her.

"I AM SICK OF HEARING THOSE NAMES! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS! LET'S HAVE A DUEL SO WE CAN MOVE ON WITH OUE LIVES!" she yelled.

"Well, if this is the only way for snapping you out of it, I accept tour challenge." I told her.

We then ended up at the dueling arena, where the group was, even Jesse and Chazz.

"Before we start, there's a little something I'd like to show you." she said. She closed her eyes and her Millennium necklace glowed and before I knew it, everything was black and nobody was there anymore but me and Skylar.

She chuckled darkly with a smirk on her face.

"Welcome to the Shadow Realm." she said.

"Shadow Realm? But doesn't that mean?" I asked her.

"A Shadow Game? Oh yes. That's what it is." she told me.

"Game on!" I said.

Third Person P.O.V.

"I'll go first." Skylar said as she drew a card.

"I summon my Big Shield Gardna in defense mode. Then, I will place one card face down and end my turn."

"My draw. I summon my Elemental Hero Bubbleman in attack mode. And when Bubbleman is alone on the field, I get to draw two more cards. Now, I will boost his attack power with Bubble Blaster." Jaden said as Bubbleman's points increased by 1600.

"Now, I will place a card face down and call it a turn." Skylar smirked darkly before she converted her eyes to her duel disk.

"My draw. I summon my Magician's Valkyria to the field in attack mode. And now, I will have her attack your Bubbleman." she said before the spellcaster blasted her scepter.
