The Time Angel

"Daleks reign supreme!" The bronze one chimed in.

"Alright. Alright. That's cool. I get it. I really do. I just-" I was trailed off the moment I saw the plunger like things on the Daleks begin to extend towards me. "C'mon guys, I'm claustrophobic!"

The second I felt one brush my skin I jumped up and over them, well, half crawled over them. Sending the small group sliding deeper into the cell. I stepped out and pressed the first button I saw, which luckily sent the bars of the cell slamming shut, effictively trapping them. I thought I was in the clear when-

"EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE!" The lot roared, ramming the bars. The lights of the whole cell block went red and a siren went off. Lock down. The whole ship was on lock down.

"Crapcrapcrapcrap," I muttered as I took off down the hall, running past tons of jailed creatures and Daleks alike. My feet pounded against the floor and the sound resonated through the long metallic hall. Eventually I slid into a massive circular room with halls branching off of it. I looked up only to see an endless upward extension of cells on cells. Every one was full with some alien, a eerie blood red light illuminating every single  thing.

I sucked in a deep breath and fixed my gaze on a hallway on the opposite end of the room and ran for of it when all of the sudden every door was sealed off by a steel barrier, the one closing so close to my face I could feel the air rush over my skin. I slid to a stop, heart pounding in my chest, blood whirrling behind my ears, and mind racing.

I whirled around, desperately searching every last inch of the walls for some way to escape. There was nothing. No way out. I was trapped.

"Exerminate!" I heard the muffled calls of the Daleks from outside of the door. I was sure this was it. I closed my eyes for a brief moment, praying to hear maybe the TARDIS, or the voice of the Doctor.

I heard nothing but the sirens and the Daleks. The Doctor was not coming this time. My heart sank.  The doors suddenly opened just enough to let the Daleks in in and sealed almost instantly behind them. Now I was absolutely terrified. This was like the slitheen all over again and far far worse.

"The girl will be exterminated!" One Dalek approached me while the rest of them kept a fair distance, chattering in their uneven voices. Then without warning the Dalek exploded in a burst of sparks. I stood for a moment, entirely confused. I heard someone shift behind me and then slowly I turned around only to see a woman blowing smoke from the barrel of her very futuristic gun.

"Uh, uh.." I stared at her. She rested a hand on her hip and smirked. She was thin, volumnious hair framing her face.

"Hello, sweetie."
