A hollow metal clunk resonated through Torchwood. I looked over to Jack. His eyes flicked around the room and then to me.

"The Doctor." Was all he said. The two of us tore off, racing through Torchwood at five in the morning. We stumbled onto the platform that would raise us onto the street through a perception filter. The streets of Cardiff came into view as the platform raised. The sound of the waterfall behind us became louder, and the sound of busy people hummed all around us.

Then I saw it. That beautiful blue box I had known for such a short time.

The TARDIS

I sighed in relief. He really did come back for me! But something was off. It wasn't the right shade of blue...

The  door swung open and my breath caught in my throat in anticipation. Suddenly, a girl stepped out. It wasn't Amy, no familiar red hair or Scottish accent. I frowned slightly in confusion. The girl wore a union jack t-shirt, sweat pants, a jean jacket, a striped scarf, and a beanie. She was Blondie.

"Common then, Doctor!" She called to someone back in the TARDIS. She had a London accent.

"Alright, alright!"  An amused voice came from within the TARDIS. A man stepped out. He was tall and lanky, with a scraggly mop of brown hair and defined, warm features. He wore a blue suit, a red tie, worn converse, and a brown trench-coat was draped over his tall form.

This was definitely not my Doctor. I looked to Jack worriedly but he stood there with a stupid grin plastered across his face.

"Who's that then?" I asked tersely. He turned to me with a confused expression.

"That's the Doctor." Jack said. I furrowed my brow in confusion.

"That bloke doesn't even look like the Doctor. Is some sick joke? It's not bloody funny, Harkness!" I ranted. "Who's that with him? That's not Amy! And where the hell is Rory?" I asked, practically seething with rage, more at the whole situation that at Jack.

"Amy? There is no Amy. That's Rose. Rose Tyler." He stated simply. Suddenly a look of realization spread across his features. "Oh." He said. "You must be from further down the time-stream."

"What? The what am I supposed to do with a Doctor from the past?" I asked pointedly. Jack ran a hand through his hair as he considered the situation.

"Let's talk to him and maybe he'll take you with him and he might figure out a way to get you to his future self without creating a paradox." He mulled through his thoughts.

"What?" I asked stupidly. Jack stepped out of the perception filter and suddenly the eyes of the past Doctor and Rose Tyler were on him.

"Doctor!" Jack called, racing off towards the box. The Doctor looked panicked for a moment, but relaxed slightly once he realized there was no escape.

"Jack!" I yelled, flying out of the perception filter and towards the TARDIS. All eyes were suddenly on me. Oh, lord...

"Who's that?" Rose asked. The Doctor's expression darkened.

"Don't bloody do that! You could have warned me you were going to take off like that!" I scolded, smacking him across the arm. Jack rolled his eyes.

"This is Aranwen Raven. I call her Est." He smiled proudly.

"Louna, please." I said.

"I dunno, I quite like Aranwen." The Doctor said thoughtfully. Dear god it really was the same man! I still couldn't believe it, how could this possibly be the same person?

"Where's Amy and Rory?" I asked.

"Amy and Rory? I don't know and Amy or Rory. I know a Polly, a Liz, a Sarah Jane, a Romana, an Ace, an Adam, there was Lynda with a 'y'... Nope, no Amy or Rory." The Doctor said. "Why do you ask?"

"Never mind." I sighed.

"I love your hair!" Rose commented. Suddenly the Doctor perked up at her comment.

"Thanks... I just... dyed it- I guess." I forced a smile.

"What? No you- Oof!"  Jack was cut off when my elbow made contact with his ribcage. The Doctor furrowed his brow in suspicion.

"Jack, you care to explain what's going on here?" The Doctor asked, a stern note in his voice.

"Yeah, can we step in the TARDIS?' Jack asked. The Doctor nodded slowly. Jack stepped in and the Doctor followed. The door swung shut and I felt a pang of anxiety blast through my veins.

Brilliant, Jack. Leave me with the blond.

Rose shifted awkwardly as she thought of something to say.

"Well I guess it would be better if we met more face to face." Rose said, turning to me with a pleasant grin. "Rose Tyler." She smiled and held out her hand.

"Aranwen Raven. Call me Louna" I smiled back and shook her hand warmly. At least things felt more comfortable. "So how long have you been with the Doctor?" I asked, in attempt to start a conversation.

"Since his last regeneration." She said.

"His last what?"

"Regeneration. It this thing he does to cheat death. He sort of changed his face... Didn't you know?" She asked. Well that certainly explained a lot.

"Is it just him? Is he the only one that does that?"

"Well, no. Its his whole race. Timelords, they're called." Rose said. My blood went cold. Did that mean I wouldn't always look like this? I was part Timelady after all.

"Why isn't he with his race?" I asked. Rose's gleeful exspression darkened quickly.

"There was this conflict of sorts- and he's the last." Rose said glumly. I wanted to blurt out the fact that I was part timelord, but with all this timestream stuff, I was too afraid I would rip a hole in the space time continuum- er... something like that...

"That's terrible." I said quietly. Rose gave a small forced smile. Suddenly the door to the TARDIS was thrown open and The Doctor and Jack emerged.

"Got you a ride home." Jack grinned mischievously. The Doctor looked over his glasses at me, eyebrows raised.

"What about you?" I asked. Jack sighed.

"I have to stay here. Torchwood needs me. Cardiff needs me. You go run off. We'll meet again." Jack said. I could have sworn I heard a solemn note to his voice.  I stood for a second, staring at him. People just kept jumping in and out of my life.

I lunged for Jack and he pulled me into a hug. He planted a kiss into my hair and pulled away.

"Go on. I promise this isn't the last time you'll see me. Just ask the Doctor and I'm sure he'll let you pop back sometime!" Jack grinned. "I have to get back before Tosh gets here." Jack explained.

"Bye Jack."

"Cya, kiddo." He said. Rose and the Doctor stepped into the TARDIS. The Doctor popped his head back out the door.

"Allons-y! Molto bene!" The Doctor called. I waved again at Jack before disappearing into the TARDIS.
