The week was over. I'd hung out with Axel and his friends every day and hardly saw Riley. I was lying in bed when my phone started ringing. I picked it.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"Me," Axel answered.

"Hiya," I responded. "What's up,"

"I'm bored," Axel answered. "Let's hang out,"

"Where?"

"My house. Jack is here,"

"Please don't tell me Deirdre is there. He seems to hate me,"

"Nope he's off with Mike,"

"What about that brother of yours?"

"He's doing stuff, probably drinking,"

I snorted. "He doesn't strike me as someone who'd do that,"

Axel laughed. "Well you're wrong,"

"When did you turn eighteen?" I asked.

"Three months ago. When is your birthday,"

"A bit over a month from now,"

"Sweet. Meet you at my place in ten,"

I drove over. My Mum didn't care. When I got there Axel and Jack were waiting.

"Let's watch a movie," Jack decided.

"Hey I never asked this this," I began. "But how come you were insulted when Riley called you a dog?" I knew the answer I just wanted them to admit it.

"It's a family thing," Axel answered grinning. "Come on Hanna,"
