When I woke up my Mum was yelling. I snorted.

"What?" I called.

"The mob has arrived!" she yelled back.

I lazily walked downstairs. Riley was eating something and glaring at me. My wolf wanted to go after him but now wasn't the time. I got ready quick. Today was Hanna's birthday. She was the only human I paid attention to. Jack, Deirdre and Mike were waiting outside. I really wanted this to go well. I hadn't told the others yet but I think Jack already knew.

Hanna's Mum looked worried, shocked and scared all at once. I heard a moan of pain.

"What the hell?" Mike growled.

"She's sick," Hanna's Mum answered. "Go away,"

Jack and I exchanged a glance. We barged in walking up to Hanna's room. She was sitting on her bed her head in her arms. She was bleeding and she looked sick. She glanced up at us shocked. I sat by her bed.

"No way," I muttered. Hanna stared crying. She wailed suddenly then passed out.

"What is it?" Mike asked.

"She's shifting," I answered. "She's a wolf,"
