Chapter 16

"Tomorrow I'm going to present you to the pack," Axel decided.

I looked up at him. "Huh?"

"I'm going to present you to the pack," Axel said again. "You're their Luna they have a right to know who you are,"

I nodded. I hadn't seen much of Axel's pack. But when I had walked past the pack members I had seen they'd give me excited looks.

"How come you didn't do it before?" Mike asked.

"We were busy," Axel answered shrugging.

"You just wanted to keep me to yourself," I teased.

"That's not true," Axel argued.

"You've been too serious since you became Alpha," I whined. "You won't joke around anymore,"

"Oh please Hanna," Axel laughed. "What were you doing at the party? The Alphas there are a lot more serious then me. They'll go wolf on you just for briefly glancing at their mates!"

"Yeah one time we went to another pack and their Alpha glared at everyone who looked at his mate," Mike added. "Even his own pack members!"

"I'm glad you're not like that," I told Axel.

Axel just grinned. "Riley would've been like that,"

"Speaking of him I don't really see his mate at all," I realised.

Axel snorted. "That's because they spend every second together doing who knows what,"

Before I could respond a guy with black hair and angry brown eyes stormed towards us.

"I swear I hate that stupid rogue," he snapped. "Have you heard the stuff that comes out of her mouth? She spends every second either mocking someone or joking around,"

"Geez calm down Luke," Mike muttered.

"You mean Storm?" I asked.

"Yes," Luke responded. "She is driving me crazy,"

"Where is she now?" Axel asked.

"In her cell laughing like a maniac," Luke replied.

"Why does everything come back to that rogue?" Axel sighed. "Go back and tell her that if she doesn't shut up I will make her,"

"That's not going to work," I said suddenly.

They stared at me.

"She'll just mock you more," I told them. "To be honest I think she wants a fight,"

"What makes you say that?" Mike asked.

"Well when Jack and I went down there to check on her she was being rude so Jack threatened her saying he'd go in and shut her up. She dared us to go in and fight her," I explained.

"She wants a fight we want a fight can't we just do it?" Luke begged.

"She can't beat me," Axel growled.

"She'll try anyway," I told him.

"I'll deal with her another day," Axel told them. "I don't want to hear anymore about that rogue. She's an annoying prisoner. If you don't want to listen to her just guard the entrance of the pack prison,"

Luke nodded and ran off.

"I don't understand why you don't go and shut her up," Mike asked.

"She's the daughter of an Alpha," Axel answered.

"So?" I asked.

"Storm also has a brother who is younger then her but is meant to become the next Alpha," Axel began. "He disappeared a few years ago. Hasn't been seen since. Most believe he's dead. That means that Storm has to become the Luna and mind her mate,"

"I didn't know she had a brother," I said.

"We should question her about it," Mike suggested.

Axel nodded. "We should,"

Axel paused for a moment and I could tell he was mind-linking. Mike, Axel and I head for the pack building. We went into a room where Storm was sitting down on a chair.

"Are you seriously interrogating me?" Storm asked grinning.

"We want to ask you about your brother," Axel replied.

Storm froze. The grin on her face morphed into a frown and her face was a mask of absolute fury. Her eyes darkened. I stepped back. Axel stood next to me.

"You have no right to ask me anything," Storm growled.

"Actually I do," Axel responded. "I am the Alpha of this pack,"

Before another word was spoken Storm shifted. Her wolf was bigger then any other she-wolf I had ever seen. Mike shifted too. Without warning Storm leapt on him and they were rolling around snarling and fighting. It was a savage fight. Storm had an Alpha wolf and Mike was an ordinary member of the pack. Storm pinned him down ready to kill him when Axel shifted jumping on her. They were attacking each other viciously.

"STOP!" I screamed.

Axel did, surprisingly so did Storm. I pointed at her accusingly.

"What is wrong with me?!" I snapped. I was furious. "We asked you a question! You had no right to attack anyone! You're going to listen to me. Your brother is the next in line to be Alpha of another pack. We just want to know what happened. He's your family don't you care?!"

Without warning Storm leapt at me. I froze but she turned racing out the door. Axel and Mike shifted back. I didn't face them, they were naked.

"Crap!" Axel snapped.

He shifted back into his wolf.

You're going back to my house. He told me through our mind link. You are staying there until I know where that rogue is!

I followed him out the room. Jack ran up to us.

"Axel she went back into her cell," Jack told him.

"What?" I asked shocked.

Jack nodded. "She's ignoring everyone and just sitting there,"
