Chapter 31

"Should we find out what happens to a wolf when their mate dies?" Zoe asked.

I could not contain my terror. I was being held by Alpha Lachlan and it didn't look like he was going to let me go alive. Axel looked shocked and angry at once.

"Let her go," Axel growled.

"Or what?" Zoe asked. "Take one step and she dies,"

It was clear Zoe was calling the shots. Lachlan hadn't spoken a single word since I'd seen him. He seemed to listen to everything his mate said.

"What do you want from me?" Axel asked.

He looked defeated and that was what scared me the most. Zoe seemed to think.

"Do you know what that rogue has done?!" Zoe snapped. "I hate her and you let her join your pack. Now she can get away with anything she wants because her brother is an Alpha,"

Will snorted. He looked highly amused despite the situation.

"Do you not realise how dumb that sounds?" Will asked. "Clearly you're a hypocrite. We can clearly see that you are getting away with whatever you want because your mate is Alpha,"

A growl came from Lachlan and to everyone surprise he let me go. I raced over to Axel and pressed myself against him. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and wouldn't let me go.

"I don't have any quarrel with your mate," he told Axel. "But I do have a problem with Storm. You will hand her over or you will die,"

"No!" I cried.

Will stepped forward.

"Why the heck would you ask him that," Will snapped. "She's my sister, she belongs to my pack and she is not going with you,"

"You will hand her over," Lachlan growled.

Will just snorted. "Or what?"

Derek appeared suddenly with all his wolves.

"It's your choice," Derek answered. "You give Storm to us or wolves die. It's your choice,"

"And why the hell would I listen you," Will snapped. "You are going to die Derek,"

I knew that both Storm and Will hated Derek. Will hated him more, Derek had him locked up for years. Derek just laughed.

"And why should I be afraid of you pup?" Derek asked mockingly.

"Whether you are afraid or not you are not leaving here alive," Will growled raising an eyebrow. "Do you really think you can take on two Alpha wolves?"

Everyone knew he was referring to Storm.

"Ah yes," Derek smiled. "And where is the little she-wolf?"

"I'm right here as*hole," Storm snapped.

She walked out from behind Will. I had no idea where she had come from and I didn't care. Will took a step forward and he'll broke loose.
