I ran through the forest in my wolf form. It felt strange, I still wasn't used to it even after a week of being a wolf. I hadn't gone back to school yet. The guys were helping me out but they never shifted around me which I found weird. Suddenly I saw a flash of brown fur as a wolf jumped on me knocking me over.
Ha! Mike said to me through our mind link. Gotcha!
It felt strange to have the mind link. But I'd gotten it after I'd decided to join Axel and his pack. He and Riley were fighting a lot recently though.
I haven't seen you shift before. I told him.
Congratulations. Here's my amazing wolf.
Where's Axel?
He and Riley are going on at each other again. Their Dad wants to step down and give one of them the Alpha title. Only he doesn't know which.
How are they going to decide.
No idea.
I started to race off again.
Where are you going? Mike asked.
I'm going to shift back and go to Axel's house.
I'll go with you.
I ran home. My Mum looked surprised to see me in my wolf form but she didn't question it. I wonder how she felt about all this. She'd brought me here to get me away from other wolves and now I was part of a pack of them. I walked upstairs and shifted back changing into a pair of jeans, a white T-shirt and my sneakers. I heard a knock on the door and went down. Mike was there.
"Let's go!" He said.
I followed him and we walked to Axel's house. The closer we got the crazier my wolf went. It was annoying. I could hear the shouting even from outside. Mike hesitated but we went in anyway. I could hear every word that was being spoken.
"You're not the Alpha of this pack!" Riley was shouting. "All you do is goof off with those stupid friends of yours!"
"Excuse me?" Axel snapped. "They're apart of this pack! What a great Alpha you'd make when all you do is insult people,"
"We should go," Mike whispered.
"No," I whispered back.
"Oh yeah I forgot to mention that little dog you've been hanging out with lately," Riley taunted.
I could feel my wolf wanting to take over. She was furious. It was then I realised that Riley was talking about me.
"Say that again," Axel growled. "I dare you,"
As angry as my wolf was I had a feeling they were about to fight and it was not going to be good. I raced into the room where they were and stood between them.
"Stop!" I yelled. "If either of you want to be Alpha then stop acting like little kids!"
Both of them looked shocked to see me.
"Move," Riley demanded.
"No way," I responded.
"Move," Riley repeated.
He sounded like an Alpha but I wasn't backing down.
"No," I repeated.
"What are you doing here?" Axel asked.
"Looking for you," I answered. "And look what I found instead,"
Axel smiled. "Yeah you're right. This is pretty dumb. Let's get out of here,"
Axel started leading me away.
"Hey!" Riley yelled.
Axel faced him. "Shut up Riley,"
