🌹Cascade's pov🌹
I woke up and heard my sisters snoring in the bedrooms beside mine. I pulled the sheets off of me and put on my camp halfblood t-shirt and my camp beads. I brushed my hair and braided the sides then pulled it into a ponytail. I walked out of my room and down the stairs. I walked out of the front door and kept walking until I arrived at the beach.
I sat down on the big rock and watched the waves in the distance. I felt the sun against my skin and just sat there. "Hey I can't help but notice that your wearing a camp t-shirt." I looked over and saw a guy about my age with brown hair spiked up in the front.
"Yeah I'm on a quest and my godly parent is Athena." I sad sarcastically. He laughed and climbed on the rock so I scooted over.
"Well child of Athena what's your name."
"Cascade."
"Connor." We looked at each other for a little bit and I got lost is his color changing eyes. "What are you doing out here if your on a quest?"
"Clearly you don't know what sarcasm is, do I have to say bazinga?" He smiled.
"What's your favorite Percy Jackson book?"
"Mark of Athena, but I don't like Percabeth in Tarturuas."
"True, I threw the book when that happened." I laughed and fell even more for his eyes.
"Same." My phone started ringing beside me and the name Aubrey light up on the screen. "My sister is calling me, I better get going."
"Okay, will I see you again?"
"Can't say."
"Can I give you my number just in case?" I handed him my phone with the contact ready to be filled. He handed me my phone back then helped me get off the rock.
"Bye."
"Bye."
I ran to the house across the sand with a grin on my face until I realized I was running, then I started walking. Once I arrived at the door I walked in and screamed "Really Aubrey, you had to call me at the exact moment?"
"Yes I didn't know where you were and I got worried."
"You didn't seem worried when you left us for two months to go dance."
"I was mad and it was kind of a spur of the moment thing."
"Spur, that's a big word for you."
"I am not the bone head here."
"Don't bring up Sabrina."
"Why are you so mad at me for calling you?"
"For the first time since Logan, I actually went out and made a friend I went to the beach and didn't read. I made a friend I could relate to and you had to call my and ruin it."
"Oh well excuse me for caring about my sister." I looked up and saw Callie running down the stairs.
"What is going on?"
"I met somebody for the first time after Logan and then Aubrey had to call me and ruin it because she was 'worried' about me." I put air quotes around the word worried to make it seem more dramatic.
"So?"
"So I got mad and blew up at her, if she was really worried about me she wouldn't have left us for two months because of some stupid guy." I turned towards Aubrey with blurred vision even though I was wearing glasses. "You don't worry about me, you don't care about me, you don't care about us," tears started streaming down my face and I couldn't blink them back. "Where were you when we needed you huh? You were at dance camp because you don't care or worry about us, your selfish and rude you hurt everyone that cares about you and you too afraid to face your problems. I'm done with you." I walked inbetween Callie and Aubrey and out the back door. They started calling my name but I ignored them. I climbed over the railing surrounding the back porch and ran to the first place I could think of, the rock.
