Better Than A Badge (LeviXEren)

Getting to know him Part 2

A/N sorry that I ended my last chapter quite abruptly but my mum nearly walked in on me typing this. That meant that I didn't really add much about Eren getting to know Levi so I have decided to do a part 2 of the last chapter, just from Levi's POV. anyways the actual chapter:

This chapter contains physical/verbal abuse so if you don't like this then you can read as far as the time skip and stop (sorry if it sounds kind of rude but I don't know how else to word it).

Levi's POV

I don't know why I told the girls to go away, I just didn't like how uncomfortable Eren seemed to be. His face wasn't quite as red as before but he still wasn't looking at me. Maybe he's embarrassed that he couldn't stand up for himself. Whatever. I only did it to help him out as a friend.
"Thanks Levi." I hear him mumble which makes me smile.
"No problem." I reply in my usual lazy tone.
"Are you coming to Rangers on Sunday?" He asked while grabbing a banana from his plate. I sigh, remembering geek club.
"Yeah, I guess so."
"You don't seem too pleased about it." He said frowning. I shook my head, not wanting him to instantly know all about my life. He just shrugged and starting talking to Armin about something. We were about to leave for 3rd lesson when a girl with black hair came up and stood in front of Eren. I swear the brat took a few steps back.
"H-hi Mikasa..." He muttered quietly.
"Eren, why didn't you wait for me!?" She said quite loudly.
"I-um, er." He stuttered, unsure of what to say. I sighed and decided it was time to end this awkward encounter.
"Sorry to interrupt your very detailed and interesting conversation but Eren has show me to our next class so if you wouldn't mind me borrowing him....Thank you." I said in a rush and pushed Eren ahead of me through the crowds, leaving Mikasa behind.
"Thanks Levi but you probably shouldn't have done that." Eren protested.
"I know." I said bitterly.

*yay a time skip, don't we all love them?*

I walked out of school as the bell rang and started up the street towards my house. I couldn't decide if I was lucky or unlucky that I lived so close to school. I hadn't seen Eren leave the last lesson so I guessed that he had been kept behind after class for some reason or another. I fumbled with the keys to open my front door and stepped through into the middle of yet another screaming match.
"WHY WEREN'T YOU HOME EARLIER?" My mother yelled at my father who was literally six paces from her.
"THE BUS WAS LATE!" My father shouted back, just as loudly. They continued to shout for sometime like this until I interrupted them.
"SHUT UP!" I screamed at the two of them. Silence erupted around the house, the only problem was that it wasn't a friendly silence but a silence of hatred. My father turned to face me, his eyes burning with fury.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU FAG?" I said nothing, regretting my decision instantly.
"COME ON, SPEAK UP YOU FILTH!" He said again. Oh yeah did I mention that I had a homophobic father? When I didn't answer he walked slowly towards me. I braced myself for the pain. It came. SLAP. I fell to the ground holding my face, already feeling the swelling. I didn't cry though. I wasn't going to cry in front of him. I didn't speak to either of them, I just picked myself of the ground and run outside into the darkening street. I don't know how long I ran for, I just ran. I ran to a little space of grass near the end of the road and then allowed myself to cry. I bawled and bawled. I stopped suddenly, sniffing a little. Had I heard a noise? I turned round to find myself face to face with the brat. Eren. He didn't ask any questions, he just knelt down and hugged me. Just me and him hugging.

A/N hi hi, I hope you enjoyed this extra specially long chapter (around 750 words, wow!) I know this didn't really involve Levi getting to know Eren much but I kind of changed my mind about the chapter plot halfway through. I am gonna keep the chapter name tho because I don't have a better one. bai bai for now.
