I looked at Chronic as we approached a set of stairs. "So, um, where exactly do you keep the Adamant Orb?"
He sighed as he started to ascend the stairs. "I keep it with the Time Gears in the Temporal Pinnacle. We'll have to climb up the base of Temporal Tower, as well as Temporal Spire. It might take a bit, given the nature of the tower."
I was followed him up, although I was confused. "Huh? What do you mean?"
He slightly muttered something under his breath. "Well, to be honest, I thought that it would've been fixed when the Time Gears were put in the tower, but the floors of this tower remain Mystery Dungeons," he said before stopping at the stairs, which let us into a room with two exits.
I looked around. "A Mystery Dungeon? What exactly does that mean?"
He sighed and pulled out what seemed to be a map from a bag that I just realized he was carrying. "Sarah, this is a Mystery Dungeon. Basically, every floor has a different layout, and no two layouts are ever the same. Here. Take this map. It will help us. As we move along, it will update with item and enemy locations. If I remember correctly, we'll run into Porygon, Lunatone, Solrock, and Bronzong in the main tower area. Once we get to the Spire, we'll run into Bronzong, Porygon2, Salamence, Porygon-Z, and Metagross."
I nodded, and we started to make our way to the top of the tower.

After thirteen floors or so, we came to a small clearing in the tower, and I collapsed to the ground, exhausted. "Man...that was tiring..."
Chronic kneeled by my side and pulled out an Oran Berry. "Here. Eat this. We're just about halfway there. We cleared the Tower, and all we need to do is climb Temporal Spire. C'mon."
I took the berry and ate it and Chronic helped me up. "Yeah. Let's go."
Chronic smiled and kissed me. "Now that's the Sarah I know."
I kissed back and started to walk. "What are we waiting for?"

A bit later, we ascended a set of stairs, and entered yet another floor of the Temporal Spire, and I looked at Chronic. "Are we almost to the top?"
He nodded. "Mhm. This is the final floor, if I counted correctly."
I then started to walk around, not really paying attention to the map, just wanting to explore a bit. I then looked at my map, and oddly, there was a purple dot near the stairs, which were in the room we had just entered. I then looked at Chronic. "Hey, what does that purple dot mean?"
Chronic looked at the map from over my shoulder. "Huh. That's odd... A purple dot usually indicates a boss Pokemon, but I don't see anything by the stairs."
I sighed and started to walk to the stairs, occasionally glancing down at the map I was holding in my hands. I had just reached the stairs, Chronic a bit behind me, and it looked as if the purple dot was right on top of me. I then started to look around, very defensive.
Chronic could tell that something was off. "Huh? What is it Sarah?"
I growled. "The purple dot. It's-"
I was cut off as I suddenly acted against my will, and fired a Dragon Pulse at Chronic.
He barely dodged the attack. "Sarah! What in the world are you doing?!"
"I-I don't know...I don't have any control over m-myself..." I then went against my will again, and fired a Shadow Ball at him, and then suddenly collapsed to the ground, crying out in pain.
Dodging the Shadow Ball, Chronic kneeled by my side. "Sarah. Please tell me what's wrong. What were you trying to tell me before?"
I tightly grabbed his arm, my headache becoming unbearable. "Th-the purple d-dot...was on top of me..."
Chronic grit his teeth as he reluctantly let go of me, and backed up. "S-Sarah... I'm so sorry, but I have no other choice..."
I stayed there, unable to move due to the extreme pain that seemed to resonate at every point on my body, and watched as Chronic fired a Roar of Time at me. I was hit, and everything went black.

(Chronic's POV)

As soon as I fired the the attack at Sarah, she was hit, and passed out. I knew exactly what was going on. There was no doubt about it. Darkrai had taken control of her.
Sure enough, Darkrai rose from her shadow. "Very impressive, Chronic. I was about to get away with Sarah here, but you were obviously able to stop me."
I growled. "So then it's true. The Dark One, or Lia, or whatever you call her, has risen."
Darkrai chuckled. "That is indeed true. And now she is out for blood. More specifically, your blood, and most likely at some point, Sarah's. I shall leave for now, but just know this, Chronic: Lia will get her hands on Sarah, and her version of the prophecy will be fulfilled," he said before disappearing.
I growled under my breath, and picked up Sarah. She was still out cold, and I lightly kissed her forehead, and ascended the final set of stairs.

When I got to the top, I was greeted with the fresh air of the tower. I was about to set Sarah down, but she started to stir, and a small smile formed on my face. "Hey. Are you feeling ok?"
She slowly opened her eyes, and nodded. "Y-yeah. Wh-what exactly happened?"
I sighed. "Darkrai, or the Dark Minion, entered your shadow and tried to take control of you in order to take you somewhere. Luckily, I was able to stop him."
She slightly shivered at the mention of Darkrai. "A-alright...are we at the top?"
I nodded and gently stroked her hair. "Yes. We are. I actually have something I need you to do for me. Do you think you have enough energy to change between Pokehuman forms?"
She thought for a moment, and then nodded. "Yeah. I should. Is something wrong?"
I sighed. "It depends on the outcome of what I want you to do, and I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner," I said as I gently set her on the ground.
She looked at me, still confused. "...alright. What do you want me to do?"
I slightly hesitated. "You remember when you destroyed Lia, you reverted to your Umbreon Pokehuman form because of what you did, right?"
She nodded. "Yeah. Of course I remember that."
"Good," I said with a sigh. "Now, I want you to see if you can become an Yveltal Pokehuman. If you can't, we know that Lia isn't back, but if it does work-"
"We know that she is back," Sarah said, finishing my sentence. She sighed. "Alright. I'll do it."
She then closed her eyes and a light enveloped her, and when it faded, I silently cursed under my breath. She was indeed an Yveltal Pokehuman. Lia is back.
