St Teresa College was the biggest college in the whole of New York. It had so many different types of people from dopy kids to popular brats. There was a huge pathway which followed to the main entrance of the school. Around the pathway there were flower beds which had beautiful flowers lain on it such as: red roses, colourful tulips and purple lilies. The college had its own family feeling which was a second home to everyone.

The college had its own sports centre which contained a huge swimming pool and lots of gym equipment's. The college's classrooms were painted white gold and had bronze desks where everyone had their own personal space which consisted of their own lamp and their own touchscreen notebooks. In front of the classroom there is a huge whiteboard which had beautiful lights giving everyone a positive attitude. Right at the front the teacher had its own desk too which was piled with a million of class books and documents. The school's cafeteria was the best room in the whole school. The cafeteria was a canopy of loud chatter and each table was a cossetted huddle of people. The cafeteria had different types of food which were delicious and the best things were the deserts. It had the best cheesecakes and everyone would also have seconds. Inside the cafeteria, the decoration was beautifully set out and it had blue walls and yellow stairs which would stood out. People would usually stand their and make announcements. The lights were also a beautiful yellow colour and it shone beautifully against the food. St Teresa College had lots of football pitches which were usually full up with boys playing football at break or after college. The college's hall was a beautiful red colour and it had grey formal chairs set out in neat rows.

The hallway was all red from top to bottom, which was the symbolism of the college. With the huge pile of books in Maya's hand, she was struggling to walk. However, to make it more difficult for her, Harris was walking right towards her. 'Yikes', Maya bumped into Harris, which made the pile Maya was holding, flying in the air. 'Oh my apologies.... oh it's you. Hey I didn't know you were following me'. Harris joked. 'Excuse me, mister. I think you are mistaken. YOU are the one who is actually following me.' Maya said angrily. 'What do you think you are doing over here?'                                          'Oh, I just got accepted in this college.' He proudly said. There was a long silence whilst Harris gazed lovingly into Maya's eyes. Just then Natasha broke into the silence. 'I didn't know you were here,' she said desperately. 'Do you want a tour around the college?' Harris glimpsed at Maya, smirked and then replied. 'Sure, seems as though no one else here is as kind as you who wants to give me a tour.' Maya scowled at Harris whilst he tried to cover his laughter.

Natasha linked her slender arms with Harris's as they both walked off leaving Maya behind collecting her books from the floor. 'I can't believe that my own best friend ditched me for that stupid jerk.' Maya said to herself. 'You don't always get everything with your looks.'

In History class Natasha walked in with her arms still linked in with Harris's. They both walked towards the two empty seats that were located next to Maya's desk. 'Did you guys have a nice time?' Maya asked sarcastically. 'Yes actually, I met loads of people and even joined different clubs like-'.      'I wasn't asking you! I was asking my best friend.' Maya snapped. Harris smiled fondly. Just when Natasha was about to speak, the teacher walked into the classroom; Natasha and Harris had to return to their seats. It was History and the fat potato was teaching them. Fat potato was referred to their history teacher's name that they only knew off. They had hated him as he was huge and always smelt of cheese and onion. Not the fresh cheese and onion that you would usually smell when you opened a packet of crisps, but the horrific out of date cheese and onion that smelt from his mouth as he breathed out when he talked.

During the lesson Maya was focused into the topic but the focus was broken when Natasha continuously tried to flirt with Harris. She kept on pulling up her elegant, white dress which was short already. She exposed her toned thighs to Harris and kept on fluttering her long, curled eyelashes as she spoke, flirting as usual with any guy. Anger swirled like a red tide within Maya, rising to choke her. Her breath became harsh and shallow, her hands automatically curling into fists at her sides, itching to swing out and stop all of this.

The flirting carried on all lesson. A girl called Amy noticed that Natasha was being too friendly with Harris and was leaving Maya out. 'Are you two dating?' Amy asked looking at Natasha and Harris. Natasha blushed hard. 'Nope,' she replied smilingly as she locked her arms with Harris again. 'Were just really, really good friends.' Maya stared at the both of them enviously and Harris caught her staring. He smiled and flicked his hair whilst Maya looked away embarrassed. Tears dribbled down the side of her cheek as she wiped them away, hoping no one noticed.

At the end of the lesson Natasha walked past Maya and whispered to her, 'What is wrong with you?' Maya just glared back at her with pain stabbing in her heart and blood boiling in her body. Tears pricked her eyes but she forcefully kept them in. 'Nothing.' She replied her voice cracking as she spoke.

Dear Father,

I am missing you so much. You won't even understand. I don't know what is even happening to me. Something is happening and I want to know what it is. Basically, in the empty house next to us a guy and his mother moved to live there. The guy literally looks at me in a different way and I don't know what he wants. Normally when people look at me they look at me just casually, like how they would look at a normal geeky person. But this guy, named Harris just looks at me in a complete different way. I don't understand why he had to chose to be called my favorite name. You know what father. This isn't even my favorite name anymore. I am not going to lie to you but Harris is the dream guy that everyone wants. Perfect. But I wouldn't call him that. Especially when he looks at me in that way. I see everything that I always have dreamed about a guy in him. But father, why him?

And do you know what he said to me? He said that I am taking the worlds responsibility on my shoulders and said that I don't know how to value the life God has gifted me with. How dare he? Then he goes questioning me 'who do you think you are?' Do you know what, if I had the guts I would probably go up to him right now, smash his door open and ask him 'who does he think he is?' Father! I need you. I can't even tell mother about this. You know how she is like. 'Oh... You are in love.' Well that possibly isn't the stupid case. Oh well Father, I miss you so much and I hope u send me your blessings always...

Your Queen of Roses, Maya.
