It was Valentine's Day today. In St Teresa's Valentine's Day was a huge thing. The whole school was decorated beautifully. Everyone had to wear pink or red that symbolised love. Maya wore a baby pink dress that fit her body perfectly. The dress just fell above her knees. She paired it with white tights which matched the dress perfectly. She had left her hair out and applied some lip gloss. She still kept on her glasses though.
On the other hand, Natasha was looking beautiful in her red, maxi dress that suited her figure and skin tone just right. She applied lots of makeup and straightened her long, sleek hair. She looked gorgeous.
Maya and Natasha were both in their History lesson, sitting next to each other. Whereas Harris was standing outside of their classroom; staring at Maya. Harris had a love note that he wanted to give to Maya. A short nerdy guy walked passed and Harris stopped him. 'Give this note to the girl sat there with glasses.' He said pointing a finger at Maya. Whilst the boy was walking to her Natasha tried on Maya's glasses. 'I want to see.' She said snatching Maya's glasses and trying them on her. She squinted to the board to see the writing. 'Wearing glasses are so weird.' She said still squinting. The boy saw Natasha wearing glasses. 'This note is for you', he said giving the note to Natasha. Harris looked at the big mistake that had just taken place and put his hand on his mouth with disappointment. He was meant to give the note to Maya but instead it was passed on to Natasha. It read:
You learn to like someone when you find out what makes them laugh, but you can never truly love someone until you find out what makes them cry. Love you loads and no one will you as much as I love you. Lots of love,
Harris x
Maya and Natasha both read the note that was sent to them. Natasha blushed and smiled whilst Maya felt pain and sadness overcome her. She didn't know why she felt like this when she had read the note. 'OMG, Maya. Harris loves me.' Natasha shouted in excitement. She was jumping up and down and couldn't control her happiness. Maya forced a small smile on her face. 'Yup, he loves you.' Maya said slowly. 'What should I do now? Maybe I should ask him out or maybe...' Natasha continued talking as Maya stared at the floor with tear in her eyes. What is going on with me she thought? 'Hello Maya? Are you even listening to me? I need your help here. You are my best friend; you supposed to be listening to me instead of daydreaming.' Natasha gazed into Maya eyes, 'Why are you crying for?' Nothing, something just went into my eyes', she lied. 'Stop lying Maya. I know when my best friend is feeling down. Are you missing your dad?' 'Yeah, I suppose so.' Maya once again lied, wiping the remaining tears off her face.
Harris just walked past the two best friends casually as if he did not know what was going on. 'Oh my god what should I do. I knew I shouldn't have given it to that idiot.' Harris muttered under his breath. He had noticed the girls but yet he tried to avoid them. Natasha started screaming once again. 'There he is, Maya. I'm going to go and talk to him now. Wish me luck.' And with that Natasha ran off leaving Maya behind.
'Hey babe...' Natasha said flirtingly as she sat down next to Harris. 'Thanks for this beautiful note.' She winked. 'I was thinking if us two should go out for lunch on Saturday.' Natasha said hurriedly not giving Harris a chance to explain. 'Cool I will meet you at the town square at four. See yah babe.' She said walking off to Maya. She turned around and leaned over Harris's table and whispered. 'Don't be late for our first date.' She winked at him lovingly and walked away.
