A huge glass building towered over Maya and Harris as they walked towards it. It was an eight story building with six hallways on each floor, and a main hallway downstairs leading to the reception and café. The reception had a door which leads to the beautiful garden behind the office. Next to it was the parking space for the workers. The main entrance was at the beginning of the main hallway, connected to the reception. There were also stairways in the far end of each hallway and the bathrooms were on the front of each hallway with boy's bathrooms on one side and the girls' on the other.
'Let's go in!' Harris shouted excitedly when he looked up to see the huge building. Butterflies flew all over the place in Maya's stomach. Her palms became sweaty and blood rushed to her ears. She couldn't breathe. She was too anxious and nervous about what she was doing. Maya turned to face Harris. She took a deep breath and smiled at him whilst he gave back an encouraging smile. Harris grabbed hold of Maya's small sweaty hands and led her through the main entrance. She was getting more anxious and worried now.
'Excuse me,' Maya said politely. 'Could I please meet Mr. Mustafa Mirza?' The receptionist looked up from the computer screen. Harris looked at Maya.
'He's got the same surname as me.' Harris gasped with a smile on his face.
'Have you got an appointment booked beforehand?' The receptionist asked. Maya felt uneasy. 'Ermm... No I haven't.' The receptionist giggled rudely.
'I'm very sorry dear but you cannot meet THE Mr. Mustafa Mirza without an appointment.'
'Please. I beg you!' Maya pleaded. The rude receptionist kept on giggling. Harris saw this scene and he thought of rectifying it.
'Excuse me. I really need to see him.' Harris butted in. He looked at the receptionist's name badge. 'Susan! Ah. What a nice name.' He looked into her eyes and then gave a wink. She was amazed by Harris's appearance. 'Please.' Harris begged. 'Ermm... sure! His office is on the seventh floor. Turn right and then walk straight. His office will be the last one in the row and will have his name printed on it.' Susan said fidgeting with her blonde hair and pouting. 'Thanks a lot,' Harris said. Woah! This guy could do anything with his looks. He leaned in closer and said. 'Just to let you know. I'm married.' With that he walked off with Maya. Susan was sat their staring at Harris's rudeness with her mouth wide open.
Maya was relieved once they had reached the seventh floor. It was so awkward between Maya and Harris in the lift. It was complete silence. Quietly they both walked towards the office. Maya stood in front of the office and took a deep breath. 'Ok.' She muttered to herself.
'Oh wow!' Harris exclaimed. Maya turned around to look at him whilst he pointed at the name plate. 'He has the surname as me.' He repeated. Maya rolled her eyes annoyed. 'When I go inside you wait outside until I tell you to come in..' She knocked on the door three times.
'Come in', a bold masculine voice said. Maya nervously walked in.
'Excuse me, Mr. Mustafa Mirza. Could I please talk to you?' Maya said shaking.
'I'm in a meeting at a moment.' Mustafa replied in a husky voice.
'Have you got an appointment?'
'No.' Maya whispered. Mustafa rose from his chair angrily. His face grew red and his hands were curling into a fist at the sides of his hand.
'I will talk to you later. I'm in a very important meeting.' He groaned. There was a pause.
'This is even important.' Maya managed to say. There was silence.
'SECURITY!' Mustafa shouted at the top of his lungs.
