How would an assassin prepare for an assassination

First phase:

Locate the target. Study his/her daily routine. Mark the areas of the visit with low security and more inconspicuous where subject visits. Map the location of possible hits and exit places.

Second phase:

Infiltrate subjects house or place of business or place of operations. Learn habits of the subject. Know the weak and vulnerable points of the subject. Possible enemies who could be allies or partner in crime. But it's often better to work alone. Less you know subjects good points the better so no attachment is formed.

Third:

Fix best suitable date for assassination and plan entry and exit strategy. Keep track of subject until date of assassination arrives in order to be sure of subjects' whereabouts and the routine is still in place.

Fourth

Hit the target and don't go to the police after a moral awakening.
