Well...the second title is a reference to how Naomi (Nami) is partially Japanese. Nami itself meaning "Wave" and Wake, part of her last name, means "Reason". Her full lastname is the part where she's a coast guard in some ways, as "Wakeman" means "watchmen" or something. Essentially, the somewhat naive hedgehog's name actually is like "Coastal(waves) Guard(watching for a reason)", with her true first name for her tries at pleasing others. Like Judy Hopps actually.
