Chapter 1.

Hearts Building, 3rd floor.

Section 3-A...

It was quiet.

The only thing you can hear at the moment is the scratching of the pencil on the paper, they sound of someone typing on the keyboard and the occasional coughs from other students. They were so focused in analyzing the questions on their science textbooks and typing their answers on their laptops that were given by the school.

All except for one student who was sleeping at the back.

The teacher clicked her tongue and walked towards the sleeping student. She raised her teacher's guide book and slammed it on the student's desk.

The sound echoed around the room, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at their teacher and their classmate.
The said classmate raised her head and did a little stretching then she looked at her teacher.

"Ms. Lustre!" Their teacher hissed arching her left eyebrow. "I presume you know the rules here in my class. NO. SLEEPING. DURING. CLASS. HOURS. Now, open your book on page 349 and answer!"

Her student only smirked and took something out of her breast pocket, an USB. She handed it to her teacher with a smug grin.

"I was done about an hour ago, Miss. Clive, here" Her student said with a teasing tone.

The teacher, now known as Ms. Clive 'tch'-ed and harshly took the USB and went back to her desk to check her student's answers.

She plugged in the device and BOOM!

Name: Nadine Alexis Lustre.

Result:100% CORRECT ANSWERS -PASSED.

She looked at Nadine (the student she scolded for sleeping) with shocked eyes.

No student can answer 78 questions that fast, plus- you need to show your solution and every solution for each question is long. You need at least 2-3 hours to answer.

"Can I go now, Miss? I'm hungry!" Nadine called out, distracting some of the students who were answering.

"What the- you're done?!!"

"No way! I literally saw you sleeping!"

"Did you cheat?! Cheater!"

"Go kill me now!"

Different side-comments could be heard from her classmates. She just ignored it and stared at her teacher with a bored expression.

Ms. Clive, who was still in shock just muttered a simple 'yes'.

Nadine's face brightened and she skipped her way to the door with everyone watching her, before she could leave she turned around and waved her hand.

"Good luck, guys! Hope you all will pass!" She cheered in a sincere way then she slammed the door closed.

Several flying books were thrown to the door.

Meanwhile at section 3-B...

This room was the opposite of classroom 3-A. Everyone was just doing their own thing.

Some where gossiping.

Others where playing games on their phones and the others were either flirting with their fellow classmate or to their slightly handsome teacher.

Amidst all of these students, one girl stood up and walked straight to the door but before she could leave, she carelessly threw her USB to her teacher who clumsily catch it.

"Next time, mind your priorities first and don't flirt with your students. You're not handsome" She muttered loud enough for her teacher to hear then she gently closed the door.

The teacher huffed in embarrassment and plugged in his student's USB.

Name: Liza Soberano.

Result: 99% CORRECT ANSWERS -PASSED.

Just as Liza (the student from section 3-B) closed the door, she felt someone chuckle from behind her. She spun around to see Nadine Lustre from section 3-A who offered her hand.

"Someone's in a bad mood~" Nadine sang.

Liza smirked and pulled her in for a hug. Nadine gave off a little squeal, then they walked off to where the canteen is.

They are Nadine Lustre and Liza Soberano, one of the Hearts Building's most intelligent students. Everyone knows that Nadine and Liza lives at one house, rumors like they are secretly lesbians started to spread when the other students have learned of this but the truth is Liza and Nadine are just really close childhood friends.

Other students from Hearts Building are actually curious about Nadine and Liza for they don't know where they live and they're just plain mysterious, sure Nadine can be the childish one but if you ask her where she and Liza lives it's either she'll laugh it off or change the subject.

Weird right?

One time, 4 students tried to follow the two girls on their way home but they just disappeared when they made a left turn near the local burger house in Harvey Village.

But one thing's for sure, they don't live anywhere here in Harvey Village.

Back to the present, Liza and Nadine were now in the canteen as for usual Nadine would order their food while Liza will look for an available table.

As Nadine was ordering, her eyes landed on the girl next to her who was looking at the price of the food's she looked worried.

Then she saw how much money the girl has. 100 pesos.

"Miss? Are you okay?" Nadine asked.

The girl looked at her with wide eyes then that's where Nadine noticed this girl looked like she was younger than her maybe a year or two.

"U-um... Y-yes" The girl answered looking down.

Nadine looked at the price of the foods. It was ranging from 200-300+ even though their building is for scholar students or Middle-class families the foods in the canteen are still a little bit expensive.

"Is that all the money you have?" Nadine asked.

The girl looked at her in embarrassment and nodded, a blush forming on her cheeks.

Nadine opened her wallet and took out a 500 pesos bill and handed it to the girl.

"There, so you can buy what you want to eat. And please, just take it" Nadine said.

The girl shyly accepted the money and looked at her with a smile on her face.

"Thank you, but what about you?"

"It's okay"

Nadine carefully set both trays down and then took the seat in front of Liza.

They started to eat silently for they were both really hungry. They were about to eat their seconds when they heard their names being called.

"Paging Nadine Lustre and Liza Soberano please come to the Principal's office. I repeat, Nadine Lustre and Liza Soberano please go to the Principal's office. Thank you"
