Sofia purposely sat next to James so she could ehemflirtehem with him. She opened the first two buttons of her Oxford shirt and opened her shirt a little bit exposing her cleavage.
She cleared her throat to get James' attention but too bad, he's too distracted by talking to Nadine and to some of their classmates.
"Hey Nadz, how about we go to the Arcade later at the mall? With Enrique, Alden, Liza and Maine?" She heard James ask.
"Maine is already here? I didn't know that. Anyways, I'm sorry but I promised Bret that we'll hang out again at the ice cream parlor near here." Nadine apologizes.
James' shoulder dropped and he pouted. He looked at Nadine with his infamous puppy-dog eyes and pleaded her to come with him.
Nadine laughed and pushed his face with her hand. "Noooo! James! Stop that! Haha!"
James took hold of her wrist and took off her hand on his pouting face, he leaned a bit more and Nadine leaned back, laughing.
"Pliiith?" He asked in a baby voice.
"Tsk! No!" She chuckled.
"Pliiith? Nadz, pliith?!" He pleaded once more.
"Nuuu mister! I promised Bret. But maybe we could go hang out some other time, 'kay?"
"Just the two of us?"
"What? Haha, no with the others!"
"But I want only the two of us next time!" He playfully scowls and crosses his arms.
"Why?"
"I just wanna!"
"Okay, okay! Haha! Stop pouting!" She stretched his lips using her thumbs and made him smile.
"Ugly." She chuckled.
"Tss! I am not ugly!" He says back and pinches both of her chubby cheeks.
"Ahem!" Both Nadine and James looked up to see Alden with his hand holding an unknown girl's hand.
"Dub-dub, is this James and Nadine?" The unknown girl then points at them.
"Yes, they are. Guys, this is Maine. She'll be studying here starting today!" Alden proudly points at Maine who smiled kindly at the two.
Both of them composed themselves and smiled at Maine. Nadine stood up and hands out her hand to Maine.
"Hai! I'm Nadine. Nadine Lustre!" She happily introduces herself.
Maine's eyes widens. "Nadine Lustre? You name sounds familiar..."
Nadine's breath hitched, she was smiling on the outside but she was nervous as hell on the inside.
"Really?" She asks.
"Yes, anyway my name is Maine. Maine Mendoza. I hope we could be friends and it's nice to meet you." They shook hands and both girls smiled at each other.
"James Reid, nice to meet you." James puts his arms around Nadine again and then his other hand shakes hands with Maine.
"Pleasure to meet you. You know, I thought the both of you were a couple when Alden sent me a picture of the both of you when you were sleeping at Quen's house." -Maine.
"WHAT?! YOU TWO SLEPT WITH EACH OTHER?!" Sofia screams in disbelief and pointed at Nadine and James.
James looked around and saw that once again, everyone's attention is on them, he glared at Sofia for causing a scene again.
"Who's this?" Maine asks Nadine.
"*smirks* Oh this? Her name's Sofia Andres. The school's queen bee and slut. Greet her."
Maine decided to play along. "Hello to you! School's queen bee and slut! I'm Maine!" She waves at Maine.
Alden, James and Nadine laughed out loud at what Maine said.
"Shut up, you bitch!"
"Then shut your mouth." Maine politely says and smirks.
"You little, wench! Who are you anyway?!"
"My name's Maine Mendoza."
"Hah! Never heard of it!"
"You heard it now didn't you?" Maine asks.
"OHHHHH!!! BUUURNNN!!!" Their classmates hollered.
Sofia blushed in embarrassment. She sat down on her seat and looked away.
"Is this your first class, Maine?" Nadine asks.
"Our first class actually." Alden butts in.
"Great! Tabi-tabi tayong apat!" Maine happily suggests.
"What?" James asks.
"She said, let's seat next to each other." -Alden.
"Oh~ OK!" James gets his and Nadine's bag and then they went to the available working area that was on the other side.
"Nadine? Can I talk to you outside?" Maine asks.
"Sure."
They walked outside of the classroom and then Maine led the way to the girl's CR.
Nadine narrowed her eyes and went inside, Maine locked the door and turned to her.
"I know who you are, Nadine Alexis P. Lustre... You're Naddie." Maine says in a creepy tone.
"Who are you, Maine?" Nadine hissed.
Maine opens her blouse and shows Nadine the moon birthmark she was familiar of.
"Friday..." Nadine gasps.
