Chapter 3.

James couldn't take his eyes off the girl who was eating her cake. He was brought back to reality when he felt Enrique nudge his shoulder, signaling for him to address their principal.

His cleared his throat and turned to their principal who was looking at the three of them.

"Um... Hello, sir. May we ask why did you call for the three of us?" James asked as him and his friends walked inside the office and took a seat on one of the couches.

"Ah, I want you to meet here Ms. Liza Soberano," Their principal gestured at the Liza who was glaring at them and the one who was standing in front of the principal's desk.

"-- and Ms. Nadine Lustre." Then he pointed at Nadine who was now eating her third slice of cake.

She gave them a small wave using her fork which still has a little bit of red icing.

"Nice to meet you. Call me 'Nadz'" She said and smiled a bit at the three guys.

'She's kinda cute...' James thought.

"What are we here for, sir?" Enrique piped.

"Well, these two belong to the Hearts Building and they--"

"Hearts Building?! You mean the building next to ours that's for poor people?!" James asked out loud making all of them turn to him.

Alden punched him on the shoulder and gave him a 'WTF'-look.

"See?! This is one of the main reasons why I don't like me and Nadz to transfer in the Aces. They're just going to judge me and Nadz!" Liza shrieked.

James looked at their principal with an apologetic look. Their principal just sighed.

"Ms. Soberano, I think it would be great if you and Ms. Lustre would transfer in the Aces Building, their lessons are much more advanced than compared to your building. That could help you and Ms. Lustre with your studies and think of this as a reward from the school for being excellent in your academics and not all students are lucky to have this once-in-a-lifetime chance"

Everyone was now looking at Liza, who felt uncomfortable she turned to look at Nadine with a questioning gaze.

"What about you Ms. Lustre? What do you think?" Their principal asked.

Nadine crossed her legs and leaned on her chair, elbows propped up on both arm rests and hands clasped, she looked like she was thinking deeply.

James stared at her. He was silently praying for her to accept the offer and he doesn't know why, he just wants to know her maybe?

Liza also stared at her, she knows that if Nadine is serious she is in deep thought. She is also waiting for her answer.

Finally, Nadine turned to the principal her face still serious.

"I'll accept it..." She said, almost like a whisper.

"Nadz! WHAT?!" Liza asked, disbelief was written all over her face. Nadine raised her hand at Liza and continued to speak.

"But, I have conditions. First, you will promise to answer all of our expenses here in the Aces Building including our food." Their principal nodded, he took out a small notepad and wrote it down.

"Second, if a someone called and asks for our personal school records do not give it to them"

"Huh? Why?" Alden asked.

"It's none of your business. So, deal?" Nadine said and turned to the principal who nodded again.

"Last, you will allow us to stand up for ourselves if a student bullies us" Nadine said then she stood up next to Liza.

"Wala akong sinasanto-santo kapag may nanakit samin. I won't hesitate to break their neck if I get pissed. Masama ako magalit, remember that." Nadine muttered making the three guys shiver in fear.

They felt like there was really something different with Nadine and Liza.
