Shadow's POV:

The funeral was short and sweet. No tears were shed because Sonic would have wanted it that way. Rouge and I decided to burry him by a large oak tree on a small hill. His favorite tree. The tree that he would always relax under after a run or use to escape his troubles or a certain pink hedgehog.

At the root of the tree lay a headstone. Nothing to fancy because Sonic was simple like that wasn't he? He never wanted anything to extravagant just room to run, and chilli dog or two every now and then never hurt either.

On the head stone read:

R.I.P
Sonic T. Hedgehog
June 23, 1991- April 28, 2016

Here Lies Sonic T. Hedgehog
A free spirit that was and forever will be loved by all who had the chance and privilege to know him. A great friend, brother, acquaintance and rival to anyone. May he rest in peace.

I sighed as Rouge left and left me alone at his grave knowing that I needed some time alone. I knelt down on one knee and looked at the head stone. I sighed as I reached in my head quills not pulling a gun out this time but instead a Manila folder. I smirked a little as I stared at the folder and layed it on his headstone." Just something I figured you would want to read if you got bored." I said as I stood up dusted my knees and said one last thing before departing to," Sayanora Sonic the Hedgehog... my son."
