Taylah's POV:
We were tired.That was all I could think about. We were tired. We were driving down the highway. The palace was just about 30 km away and we had like 1 and 1/2 hours to go. I saw a hotel sign and wondered if we could just have a quick nap.
"Hey guys? Wanna have a nap?" I asked
All I got in response were groans. I guess that was a yes. I put my indicator on and verged left. We were in the exit lane when we saw the hotel. It was called Hotel De Plaza. It looked just like an ordinary hotel on the outside. I found a car park and parked in there.
"Guys we're here" I sighed happily.
I can't wait to get into a cosy bed and go to sleep. The others slowly got out of the car and knocked it. We were entering the hotel and as soon as we stepped inside we froze. we were awestruck.
"Oh"
"My"
"God" we said.
It was beautiful. It had stunning chandeliers. Fabulous wooden stairs. All in all, it was gorgeous. We slowly walked up to the receptionist.
"bonjour, comment allez-vous aujourd'hui ?" She asked. (I'll put all the translations in the bottom Authors note.)
"euh, bon et vous ?" I answered.
"bon. chambre pour 3 , je suppose ?" she said.
I nodded in response
"ok . ce sera 500 $" she responded.
I pulled my purse out of my jeans and have her $500. She handed me a key and as I reached in to grab it she pulled me closer to her and whispered something in my ear that surprised me very much. She said:
" Je sais qui vous êtes. votre la reine des loups-garous français. Seuls les loups-garous peuvent voir cet hôtel. Vous devez faire une sieste , mais ne prenez pas trop longtemps. Vous devez être là pour la grande cérémonie"
I opened my jaw in amazement and turned on my heel. I quickly yanked on my friend's arms and pulled them to the elevator. I pressed the button 5 and the doors closed. It was silent in the elevator ride. The elevator soon arrived at our destination and we walked out of it. We walked down a long hallway and our room came into view. I put the key card in and I understand now why it cost $500. It was basically a house inside of a hotel. It was beautiful.
"Well guys, I'm gonna go get some shut-eye"
I walked groggily to a room and walked inside. Inside was a queen size bed with a beautiful white rose duvet. I ran over to the bed and jumped on it and landed like a star-fish. God I love doing that. I got under the duvet and snuggled my head into the pillow. About 5 minutes later I fell asleep,
(Time skip: 1 hour and 15 minutes later)
I woke up to my dad calling me. I looked at my phone and saw the time.
" F*CKING SH*T " I screamed.
I got some groans trying to tell me to shut up.
" GUYS GET THE F*CK UP! WE ONLY HAVE 15 MINUTES TO GET THERE!" I screamed again.
" what's the problem then?" Angus mumbled waddling into my room half asleep.
"WHAT'S THE PROBLEM!? THE PROBLEM IS, WE HAVE 15 MINUTES TO GET THERE AND IT TAKES 30" I shouted my voice cracking at the end.
" oh. Well then. KATHY GET THE F*CK UP!!" Angus said
" I' m ready." She said walking in the room.
" good now let's go." I said a bit softer.
We went into the hall and ran down to the elevator. I pressed the button. OF COURSE IT TAKES FOREVER! I pressed it, like, a million times until I gave up.
" GUYS IT WILL TAKE TO LONG! HURRY TO THE STAIRS" I demanded.
We ran down the hall again since the stairs were on the other end of the hall. We sprinted down the steps. Kathy being Kathy, just had to fall over. I pulled her up and she said a quick thanks then we were off again.

Ground floor.
As soon as we saw that door we sprinted through it. I saw the girl still at the reception desk.
" dépêchez-vous! ou bien vous ne le ferez pas !" She screamed at me
People were starting to stare at her weirdly but then they shrugged it off. We sprinted through the doors of the hotel and into my car.
" everyone ready?" I asked.
"YES! LETS GO!" They shouted at me in sync.
We were racing the evil clouds that we taking over the sky. Once the palace was in view I sighed in relief. 'We are going to make it.' I repeated to myself. The dark clouds suddenly got faster and faster. I pushed my foot down on the accelerator as hard as I could but it didn't make any difference. The clouds were tumbling over each other now in the sky ahead of us. I started shaking. 'We weren't going to make it." I saw the dark clouds circling the palace before this big beacon of dark purple shot down into the palace. Almost like lightning. It made me want cry to know I have failed all of the ancestors.
"Guys it's too late!" I said whilst crying
"I'm always too late." I whispered to myself.
Why does anything good in my life always turn to bad?
