Chapter 3 - Confession

Evie's POV
I looked at Mal, my best friend.. I wish she was more to me then just a friend.. I couldn't tell her the truth.. Carlos said it would help but what if she doesn't feel the same way..
"Mal.. I have something to tell you.. But I don't want to hurt our friendship.." I said and Mal looked at me even more concerned.
"Evie.. Nothing could change the way I feel about you." she said. I stood up and walked out of the bathroom, Mal followed me. I walked over to the door and looked at it, then placed my hand on the handle. I needed a quick escape when I tell Mal. I took a deep breath.
"E, please tell me.." Mal said desperately. I turned around and looked her in the eyes, which were filling with tears.
"Mal.. I love you.. But not as a friend or sister... I love you.." I said, opened the door and ran out.

Mal's POV
Evie just told me she loved me and ran out. I stood there in shock. Then chased after her.
"Evie! Evie wait!" I said trying to catch up with her. She kept running I knew where she was going but I don't think she did. I snapped my fingers and teleported both of us back to our dorm room. Before she could figure out what happened I ran over and blocked the door.
"Evie, why did you run?" I asked angerly. She fell over crying. I walked over and sat at her side. Still in shock.
"So.. When did you realize you loved me?" I asked her and she looked at me blushing.
"Y-you're not mad?" she asked and I wrapped my arms around her neck.
"Never." I said and she hugged me back.
"I realized I liked you when you saved me from your mother's staff on the isle.. But I realized I loved you when I lost you.." she said her voice trailing off. I smiled a little.
"Evie.. You know I love you.. But not like that.. I'm married to Ben..." I said and her smile faded. Then it hit me.
"Omigod.. That's why you were upset at my wedding, you.. Didn't want me to marry Ben." she nodded her head slowly and I pulled her into a hug. She hugged me back.
"I'm sorry Mal.." she said and stood up. "If you want I'll move into Jane's room.. She said she needed a roommate." Evie said and I rolled my eyes.
"E, your not leaving this room." I said and she helped me stand up. I gave her a hug.
"Okay E, I need to go meet Ben.. I'll see you later." I said and she nodded, tears forming in her eyes again. I felt bad.. I walked over to her and lightly kissed her cheek. She smiled a little and I left to find Ben.
