Chapter 12 - The Cure

Evie's POV
I ran to FG's office as quick as I could, 5 days later we have found a cure for Mal. Melanie kept her promise with me and Mal, so I haven't been totally depressed. Good thing we found a cure early, Ben is starting to get suspicious. I barged through the door startling Jane, FG, and Carlos. Who all are being generous enough to keep my secret.
"What's the cure?!" I asked and FG looked back down at her book.
"Well Evie there are 3 possible cures, the first is true love's kiss, but Melanie's true love was Mal's original love, so Ben. The second cure is bringing them to their birth parents and having them both use a spell, unfortunately we don't know Mal's birth father, and her mother.. Well ya know. But the last cure moght work, you might not like it though." she said and I looked at her intrigued.

Melanie's POV
I ran to Evie's room as quickly as I could, Mal was forcing me too, considering Ben was chasing us.
"Melanie where are you going?" he asked and I acted like I couldn't hear him. 'Go Mel hurry! Ugh. Your too slow.' Mal said and teleported us to Evie.
Mal's POV
As soon as I got to Evie I forced Melanie to swap with me. Evie threw her arms around my neck.
"Mal, I missed you." she said and I hugged her tightly.
"I know E.. How is the reasearch coming?" I asked and Evie smiled.
"I found a cure.. But.. The bad thing is.. I have to announce our secret with everyone in the kingdom.." she said and I frowned.
"Oh.. Well, I am willing to be outcasted if it means making you happy." I said and Evie smiled.
"Mal.. I am really glad you love me too.. I couldn't get over these feelings if I tried." she said and I felt my face start to burn. She grabbed my hands and stared into my eyes. I felt a single tear roll down my cheek. Evie put her ands on my face and whiped it away.
"I thought you didn't cry" she said starting to cry herself.
"I wish I didn't have to go, Evie." I said and she smiled.
"I will do whatever it takes to get you back.." she said and kissed me. "I promise." I smiled and felt Melanie take over again.
